Is there a link to the press conference? Doesn't appear any of the cable news outlets are going to carry it.

What a wild 3 weeks.

Now that they're back off the streets, I'm looking forward to focusing on the investigation.

I don't know how much or how little Sweat will reveal, but I hope he at least tells if Tillie was plan A or not.

looking for a presser link..........

TWCNEws has it, I missed the start of it. The doctor is talking about the stats of the medical center and says this patient would've come to them under any other circumstances. He can't speak as to what Sweat may be saying to officers if anything. He was not involved in the care of Mr Sweat, his condition currently is critical.

Their evaluation upon his arrival is consistent with the NYSpolice statement of his injuries. It's premature to say whether he will go into surgery. He's being evaluated by trauma surgeons who will determine when and if that will be done. - Dr. on the presser on TWCNews

oh no, i want to hear the tale

He is in a locked unit, they provide care for people in that unit on a daily basis. On any given day they may have between 8 and 10 patients in the locked unit at any time. They have a contract with the dept of corrections to care for their inmates. (source - live presser)

@jeffrossen: NEW INFORMATION: David Sweat now listed in critical condition.

Dr says HIPPA laws are in play at this time and he cannot communicate information about Sweat any more than for any other patient.

I can say with certainty that our staff and our other patients are very safe.

His condition is critical and based on preliminary evaluation of patient he will need to be there for a series of days for sure. (source: presser live)

can you speak to whether his time in the woods contributed to his health condition at all? I dont have that information I'm sorry.

they said EMTs, radiologists, trauma doctors, vascular surgeons, critical care doctors are all working on him.

I bet one shot was close to the heart. JMO

Definitely. That 3rd photo that was released of him with oxygen shows the exit wound.

@JessicaLayton13: Wouldn't answer if David Sweat is able to speak #PrisonBreakNY

I read up a bit on medical status (edit: only a bit; I'm not at all an expert), and apparently "critical" isn't always as immediately life-threatening as the public perception of the word is. Also, sometimes when a patient is moved from one hospital to another (or looked at by different doctors) the patient's medical status may officially change while in reality he has not become any better or worse off.
