The skull and torso found on a desolate Nassau County beachfront are too old to be connected to the serial killings of four Craigslist call girls -- and could belong to long-lost victims of notorious Long Island butcher Joel Rifkin, a source said yesterday.

My Goodness, Sherre, Shannan's sister, said after she left Gus C's house she knocked on the door of a lady who a poster here has said lives across the street from JB. That means that after Shannan saw this lady, Dr Hackett saw her.

His home is on the other side of the development. Why was he up by JB's house at 5am in the morning ???

This is startling IMO


PS: If Dr Hackett has not been arrested by the time of the Presser I don't think LE will mention him as a POI or suspect. But he sure is looking involved at this point IMO, now as the last person we have learned about that saw Shannan that early morning.

I've been watching that interview of the Dr and observing his body language. He is blocking the doorway like he is afraid the reporter will try and go inside. He also averts his eyes down and to the left a few times while he is speaking. Isn't it a sign of deception when someone averts their eyes down and to the left? I can't recall.

Something about him seems, well, off! He is also smirking during the interview.

I have something I have been thinking about that doesn't add up for me. Maybe it has been answered on earlier posts, and if so, please forgive me. It has been reported that SG's last contact with 911 was with SG struggling with someone and saying "let me go" and some rustling and sturggling were overheard on the phone. Then the line goes dead. I assume this was the point where she met her fate.

Now if I am the SK, I know she's been talking on the phone with 911, why would I either take the phone with me or allow SG to take it. Regardless, if it was SG's phone that was used to call her mother or a prepaid phone, I would've left the phone where it is or thrown it in the water or something because I know the 911 operator may have been alarmed by the last conversation and dispatched police to the seen, and will have the ability to track the phone as well.

Unless, for whatever reason, I knew police would either not respond or take quite a bit of time in responding. Further, if it was SG's phone that was used to call the mother, why would I keep the phone a day later when I know it can be traced, or at least worried it would be traced.

I think the SK for some reason was never concerned with police arriving or tracing the call at all. I also think this is why SG's body has not been recovered yet...it is somewhere far away from the rest of the bodies.

Lastly, in conjunction with what I posted, the Asian or possibly another unknown person who had contact with the neighbor, Gus, never seemed concerned or stressed about the call to 911. He simply, coldly stated "you shouldn't have done that" There does not seem to be any panic or stress in the statement, almost as though he knew he had some time to find SG before the police arrived.

Anyway, just a thought I had

Honestly, if I were LE, I would want to see the inside of PH's home and any sheds or garages he has access too. His wife is very involved with the Oak Beach Civic Association, and those pictures of all the kids in the burlap bags is certainly coincidental, but worth pursuing an inspection of where they are stored. And even though he hasn't been named, the guy who looks EXACTLY like the sketch of the suspect from the Atlantic City murders should also at the very least be interviewed.

Why after all this time is LE looking in Hemlock Cove? This area is well known in the local boating community, great place to "float" in the summer -- there is even a FB page. I just can't help thinking that LE has a specific reason for searching this area underwater... Did the SK panic and dump SG there rather than finish his ritual? Or did someone see one of the POIs throw some other evidence in the water??? Remember the "story" about JB packing his truck in the dark...

just watched a clip of the interview with the doctor. I agree with the posters who feel something is off with his affect. Still don't buy that he called SG's mom tho. Something not right about that story. I don't see the doc calling mom. Either he is involved and someone else wants to call attention to him or the SK is trying to set him up.

justcuri... I hope you are right and something breaks today with this case.

This is all so disturbing.

When I was a kid, my dad worked in the police barracks at Jones Beach during the summer and my siblings and I spent many long summer days at West End 2 -- the Jones Beach barrier island beach furthest west. (probably 5 miles west from the furthest west dumping ground) I have wonderful memories of the entire area, including Gilgo Beach, Tobay Beach (used to go there when I was in High School) and Oak Beach.

It is horrible to think that there are secrets lying in the brush there.

Yes, it is desolate, but a very beautiful place, especially in the summer. Fresh ocean breezes, lots of sun and sparkling white sand. It is very well kept -- some of the best beaches in the US if not the world. All this is in stark contrast to the remains of 10 people found dumped there. Sometimes beauty can be coupled with such darkness. [sadness]

The 4/5 Original remains of the 4 escort girls were dumped on the strip of land/brush between Hemlock Cove and the Ocean Parkway. My guess is that they want to check the actual cove to see if maybe the SK dumped the body there since the other 4 victims of the SK were on land in that area.
The bodies further down on each end of the OP are unrelated in my opinion. They're specifically looking for SG today.
