Niagara Falls firefighters assisted New York State Parks Police with a body recovery in the Niagara Gorge on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 12:22 p.m. after Parks Police were alerted to the body floating in the lower Niagara River.
The body was located in an area between Whirlpool State Park and the Whirlpool Bridge. The body was recovered from the water and carried to the top of the gorge by firefighters and park police officers.
