Amber Alert issued for Ta'niyah Williams, 1-year-old girl believed to be abducted

New York State Police have issued an AMBER Alert for a 1-year-old girl they believe has been abducted.

Ta'niyah Williams, an African-American girl with brown eyes and black hair, was last seen with Terrence Williams, 27, in the Dewey Avenue area in Rochester.

Terrence Williams, an African-American, has hazel eyes and weighs 140 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-866-NYS-AMBER (1-866-697-2623).

Emergency Communications Department - 911 in Rochester, NY

The Rochester NY Police Department has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred on Dewey Ave, in Rochester, New York at about 8:00 PM on 11/19/2018.

The CHILD, Ta-Niyah Williams is a Black female, approximately 1 year 6 months old with short, black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 2 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 22 pounds.

The SUSPECT, Terrence Williams is a Black male, approximately 27 years old with short, blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.

The SUSPECT was last seen traveling on Dewey Ave.

The child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.

Rochester Police and New York State Police are investigating an AMBER Alert out of Rochester for a missing one-year-old girl and her father.

There is no description of a vehicle or other mode of transportation from police yet.

There are currently no criminal charges related to this investigation, according to Rochester Police. Police said they are trying to safely return Ta'niyah to her mother.
