...the sheets would be a huge piece of evidence if ever found. I don't think we can just overlook them. I don't think they'll be found, but if they were...

We all know this is a horribly brutal crime. I am clearly extremely interested in, and disturbed by, this case. Hence, the reason I am on this site - commenting and posting on a Friday night.

The reality is we do not know what occurred.

If Valerie were disposed of in a neighboring town of New Rochelle (Mount Vernon, Yonkers, The Bronx, North Manhattan), or in New Rochelle, most of us would not know or care about this.

The trigger here is that she was found in Greenwich. This is why the story has made national headlines.

We will know nothing until the investigation is complete.

I trust that all jurisdictions of law enforcement who are investigating this case will come to an air tight conclusion and that justice will be served for Valerie.

The first thing about WS is the TOS are very upfront when you join. I watched for a month to understand why and i believe it has been vetted very well. I am not usually a joiner but i was so saddened by what i first discovered and my heart has been so touched by the genuine concern and caring by the people here. I hope maybe i can contribute to helping in just my own small way to bringing a loved one home.

In as much i think the BF needs to be ruled in or out as it is consistent with most domestic violence that happens all to often.

Complete speculation, thoughts for now- imo.
VR apparently expressed her fear that she would be murdered, but did not reveal by whom or why.
Wondering if she might have written a name or detail on a bed sheet, perhaps tucked under a pillow for safekeeping?
But it was discovered and the sheet torn into strips...?

Now Kodiak first of all let me say you raise a very strong point but at the cost of being a bit taboo psychology wise serial killers tend to stick to the area they know. And from what little we know about Valerie Reyes she was for all intentive purposes a decent girl. LISK seems more attuned to escorts and prostitutes. Now I’m not saying your theory wrong; in fact I’m 60% sure you’re right, there’s just a small part of me that is saying there’s something that is not there that should be or vice versa.

Yes, serial killers usually do prefer to remain in familiar territory, but I'm not sure if that's the case when the heat is or may be on in a SK's preferred location. Also, there's nothing that says Greenwich is unfamiliar to LISK.

For this part, I apologize, I am so not trying to pick on you but in all honesty this peturbs me. I don't even know the proper way to say this but not all escorts and/or prostitutes are "indecent". The stereotypical image of prostitutes are usually unkempt, streetwalking drug addicted women. Sex for sale is a multi-billion dollar industry. The indecent women you refer to are not making billions, I'd be willing to bet. There are many, many "upstanding, decent" women who sell sex. I think you'd be amazed.

Although, I wholeheartedly agree with you that given the information we've learned about Valerie, she certainly comes across as a decent young woman.

I totally respect all the thoughts and opinions from my fellow sleuthers regarding my post about this case possibly related to LISK. Yes, the victim was a very decent young woman. Her death is an absolute tragedy. She may not have been involved in the sex worker industry, but she could have been an automatic prey to a predator such as LISK. It could have been the case that he encountered her in her fragile state of mind and took advantage of that and her. But then, as one poster stated, there is the possibility she got involved or forced into sex trafficking. That could would be another related variable to LISK. And serial killers can change their M.O. and the locale of his murders and dumping sites. As a Seattle native, may I present Ted Bundy. Also, LISK did not just kill prostitutes and escorts. He also kid a three year old child. Was the child a sex worker? No, the child was not. So is there a chance that LISK could kill a non sex worker? Yes, there is!

Yes, I agree. And perhaps I missed something but I don't remember making a point about that. I'm assuming you're commenting to me given that you quoted me. If I offended you, please accept my apology.

That's an interesting idea.
I was thinking an abductor may have torn the sheet into pieces to bind and gag her while transferring her from her apartment. But, if this was premeditated would he not have brought supplies (e.g., zip ties) with him?

I do believe VR was probably abducted from her home and kept at another location while he tried to access money from her bank account. I think it was JenniferTx who suggested the killer was in the car out of sight when she drove up to the ATM. ITA.

MOO

Also pertaining to my train of thought on my post #172:

Would LISK still use Gilgo Beach and Long Island as a dumping ground now? No he would not–because all the media attention in that entire region now. Especially since the FBI is in charge of the case. He would have to lay low for a while and change things up. Find a new locale and M.O. Maybe something closer to home.
