Likewise, the mother of 28-year-old Charlotte Trego contacted police earlier this month stating she had not heard from her daughter since May 3. Although she told The Gazette she has no concrete evidence to think her daughter had fallen victim to foul play, she has asked police to investigate because none of her daughter’s friends have seen her and her daughter regularly called her two or three times per week before May 3.

Relatives and concerned neighbors are canvassing the city of Chillicothe after three women have been reported missing in the area.

Family members have been going door-to-door, passing out posters, hoping someone knows where the missing women are...

The other two missing women are 27-year-old Charlotte Trego, who was last seen on May 3, and 30-year-old Tameka Lynch, who has been missing since May 16.

Vigil serves as a tribute, reminder to two women

The flames of dozens of candles were lit Tuesday evening in Yoctangee Park in hopes of shining some light on the whereabouts of a local woman who remains missing.

The candlelight vigil served a dual purpose — a tribute from family and friends to the late Tameka Lynch and a reminder to the community that Charlotte Trego is still out there somewhere.

Boggs says she's not relaxing on Labor Day. Instead, she's worrying about Charlotte. She says it's devastating knowing her daughter is still missing. "I didn't make any plans this year. I just I don't want to do anything. I just stay at home by the phone just in case," Boggs said.

Trego was recently added to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. It lists important information like her height, weight, race, and the date she was last seen. "It should have been done earlier. I mean it hasn't been that long since she's been on there. But I'm glad that the word is out there that she is missing," Boggs said.

FBI joins search for missing women

CHILLICOTHE – City police have extra muscle in the search for the three missing area women as the Federal Bureau of Investigation joins the effort.
