The Franklin County coroner’s office will try to determine why human remains were in an abandoned structure along the Norfolk-Southern railroad tracks on the North Side.

Railroad personnel discovered the bones Monday afternoon near where the tracks intersect with Joyce Avenue just north of 5th Avenue.

The Columbus police homicide unit said it had no leads on identifying the remains or determining why they were in the small structure.

“Whenever there’s remains found, the coroner has to process them and make their determination” about cause of death, Sgt. James Jardine said late Monday night. “We’ve got nothing.”

Lots of businesses around there which means lots of cameras. Amy locals know if there is a homeless population nearby?

I wonder how old they think these are, what clothing was found etc. Interesting that they don't mention Tyler Davis as an exclusion..

NAMUS is showing 32 missing persons for Franklin alone; 360+ in Ohio entire. 3 in the past 6 months or so, 7 in the last year.

Remains were skeletal and LE stated "we've got nothing" when asked about possible identities in the article linked at post 1. Not even whether male or female suspected.

I'm not taking them not "ruling out" Tyler as interesting at this point because there's a whole lot of people this could be.

What's interesting to me is that there is no mention of clothing. Usually police know when remains found are homeless due to the clothes. And very often they will say they suspect this was a homeless person. I also find it intriguing when LE says "we've got nothing" because that's not a common admission from LE. MOO.

They aren't even saying how long they suspect the person has been deceased. The year missing range is way too broad for us at this point unless they narrow it down.
