MSNBC has also picked up that the professor was stabbed inside the building- that IMO is huge - indicates, IMO ,intended target .

From what I'm piecing together, it sounds like there was a crowd of students outside BECAUSE the alarm was pulled in a building. It was that crowd that the driver ran into, before jumping out the car with a knife.
Do I have that right? If so, it seems as if the fire alarm would be related.
The timeline is still fuzzy to me - correct me if you have better info. Thanks.
That is what I originally thought, but now I don't know!!

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...university-car-knife-attack-n689076?cid=sm_twOfficials: Attack appears to be planned
Law enforcement officials told NBC News the suspect's name is 18-year-old Abdul Artan, a student at the university. He was a Somali refugee who left his homeland with his family in 2007, lived in Pakistan and then came to the United States in 2014 as a legal permanent resident of the United States, officials said.
The motive was unknown, but officials said the attack was clearly deliberate and may have been planned in advance.
"This was done on purpose," Stone said.

NBC News: Suspect in Ohio State attack is Abdul Razak Ali Artan multiple law enforcement sources tell Pete Williams and @anblanx
This is solely mo , I think the florine leak and resulting fire alarm had nothing to do with what happened next. MOO
MOO I think the guy was on his way up to stab his professor , and then the leak and call for fire, and alarm being pulled happened .
This only mo, turned his escape into what it became. The running over people in the street , cause of the fire alarm was right after he made a left turn. Don't remember which was on in background. That struck me as he had no time to stop and was fleeing his attempt to kill/ hurt a professor he had.
Only how I am trying to piece this together, like all of us!!
Has it been reported that he was a student at OSU?
I'm not doubting you - I'm just multi-tasking and not able to keep up with the news reports.

Right after the name was released, there were only 3 links that showed up in a Google search for it. Two about the attack. And one was a program from a graduation ceremony at Columbus State Community College. He apparently got his Associate of Science degree back in May from there.
MSM has reported 2 different names and ages. Is it possible the car didn't belong to attacker?
