Details of DisappearanceSeyedin's family members last heard from her in November 1998. She was last seen by her doctor on November 17 of that year, at a follow-up appointment after foot surgery. She moved frequently and often went by several different names, so she was not reported missing until July 1999. Seyedin resided in the Rogue Valley of Oregon at the time of her disappearance. She has previously lived in Ohio, Texas and California. She has a criminal record for domestic assault and driving under the influence, but no charges were pending against her at the time she went missing. Her loved ones stated it was uncharacteristic of her to be out of touch with them; even while she was traveling, she called them on holidays. Seyedin may have had a violent relationship with her boyfriend in November 1998. The boyfriend has refused to cooperate with authorities regarding her disappearance. Authorities believe Seyedin may have been murdered, but no one has been charged in her case; it remains unsolved.

Cheryl Kay Seyedin Missing: November 1998
Seyedin was last seen in Ashland in November 1998, But the 40-year-old who was known to move around the country and change her name wasn't reported missing until July 1999. Her heavy drinking sometimes found her in trouble with the law, but no charges were pending against Seyedin at the time of her disappearance. She may have had a violent relationship with a boyfriend, who refuses to talk to police. Investigators now say they believe she was murdered.

SOUTHERN JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) is investigating a suspicious death after discovering skeletal remains in rural south Jackson County on April 14.

According to a JCSO news release, the remains are likely female and investigators are trying to find the cause of death.

Details of Disappearance​

Seyedin's family members last heard from her in November 1998. She was last seen by her doctor on November 17 of that year, at a follow-up appointment after foot surgery. She was driving a 1987 Dodge Ram pickup truck with the Oregon license plate number VXN236. The vehicle was found abandoned in Central Point, Oregon in June 2007, almost a decade later.

She moved around the country frequently and often went by different names, so she wasn't reported missing until July 1999. She resided in the Rogue Valley of Oregon at the time of her disappearance. She has previously lived in Ohio, Texas and California.

Circumstances of Disappearance​

Seyedin was last seen in Ashland in November 1998 by her doctor during a appointment for foot surgery. She had been living in a trailer outside Ashland. She was known to move around the country and change her name, so she wasn’t reported missing until July 1999.

Her heavy drinking sometimes found her in trouble with the law, but no charges were pending against Seyedin at the time of her disappearance.

In 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1998, Seyedin was arrested and booked on charges of domestic assault. She also was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants in 1998.

Her mother said that it is unlike Cheryl to stay out of touch; even when she was moving, she always called on holidays and birthdays.

Seyedin, a self-employed landscape architect, moved to the Rogue Valley in 1994. She previously lived in Ohio, California and Texas.

She may have had a violent relationship with a boyfriend. The boyfriend is considered a person of interest in her disappearance. Foul play is suspected.
