I did a little research to find photos of Suzanne Rae Justis, who is listed in NamUs with a no-photo casefile.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/14710/1

I found her maiden name was Seay via this obituary for her mother Doris Seay, who died on March 12, 2012.

A daughter, Suzanne Ray Justis, died previously.

I found three photos of Sue Seay (listed as Suzanne in the index) in the 1968 North Eugene (OR) HS yearbook. She disappeared in 1973 (i.e., 5-6 years after the photos were taken).

The date indicated in the Circumstances section (November 05, 1989) appears to be incorrect. The Missing Person report was filed prior to that date (on February 14, 1989), and the MP report bears a 1989 casefile number (See “Police Information” Section). When her NamUs MP casefile was created, it indicated a 1989 Date LKA, but it was changed to November 05, 1973. So it is likely that if they bothered to change the "Date LKA", it is now correct.

I wonder if she is a Ted Bundy victim. Another Eugene OR resident, Vicki Hollar, who was a probable Bundy victim disappeared a month-and-a-half earlier. Suzanne doesn't have the look of a typical Bundy victim. Bundy preferred women with long hair. But I suppose he wouldn't have passed up the opportunity if someone who didn't fit the profile presented herself as an easy target.

Thanks so much for finding the photos of her. :tyou: I had been looking at her listing for a long time thinking that she might be a few different UIDs, but I really don't think that Suzanne Justis is any of the unidentified women. The circumstances of her disappearance on NamUs still have, what I assume is, an error about the date.

Called her mother on 11/5/1989 from Portland, OR and said she would be back in Eugene the following day to pick up her son from school. She has not been heard from since.

It's possible that her hair grew out since the photos were taken five or six years before.

She is now on Charley Project and it states that she had long hair at the time of her disappearance and did not have the hairstyle shown in the photos. I would be surprised if she was not a Bundy victim, considering the time period and location. The Charley Project states she planned to travel to Eugene Oregon the next day, probably by hitchiking.

I'm new to the thread,

Yes CarlK90245, Investigators have looked Into the possibility that Suzanne was a victim of Bundy the reason I know Is because of this article;

http://news.google.com/newspapers?n...XkzAAAAIBAJ&sjid=qeEDAAAAIBAJ&pg=6456,5577914

It also mentions Vicki Hollar and Rita Jolly, as well as other chicks that vanished from the area.

Above link no longer works. Here is the new one: http://charleyproject.org/case/suzanne-rae-justis

Suzanne May have been a victim of warren Leslie Forrest who killed 6 young women in the Vancouver Washington area. He had a victim from Oregon, Martha Marie Morrison who vanished in September of 1974 and was found deceased about a month later and identified in July of 2015. She may also be a bundy victim but warren should be considered a possible suspect as well.

She had long hair when she vanished.

I'd like to bump up the discussion of the possibility of Suzanne being "Fly Creek Jane Doe"....
WA - WA - Clark Co., Fem Skeletal 427UFWA, 13-16, near Fly Creek, Feb'80

The coroner originally believed FCJD remains could have been there 6 years. It seems to me that the connection to Warren Leslie Forrest- especially since the ID of Martha Morrison- is just too strong to be ignored....
Yes, I do believe Suzanne was definitely a victim of Warren Forrest. The time and location is to similar to Martha Morrison’s murder. I’ll send a tip to the agency soon

Bump.
Fly Creek Jane Doe was identified as Sandra Morden in October 2019 so can be ruled out from this thread - but it does not preclude a common perpetrator.

Why was Suzanne in Portland? Was she alone there? It seems she never made it to Eugene.

Sounds like maybe she was at a concert? rare earth/ZZ Top played at Memorial Coliseum November 3rd. She could have been looking for work or working, or just seeing some shows.

Suzanne Rae Justis has been missing 50 years today

I still believe Forrest was responsible for Suzanne’s disappearance in addition to more. Most of his victims were known or hitchhike, like Justis. I suspect she accepted a ride from Forrest while trying to return to Eugene to pick up her son.

Justis, circa 1968 (approximately five years before her disappearance; more recent photos are unavailable)

<<Details of Disappearance

Justis was last seen on November 5, 1973. She called her mother from outside the Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon that day and said she would return to Eugene, Oregon the next day to pick up her son from school. She may have intended to hitchhike there.

Justis's mother booked a room for her for the night at a nearby hotel, but Justis never used it, never arrived in Eugene and has never been heard from again. For unclear reasons, a missing persons report wasn't filed until 1989.

Justis's mother died in 2012; in her obituary, it says Justis pre-deceased her. Few details are available in her case.>>
