Just got this notification on my phone while driving to work in Philadelphia. The second source below specifies that the boys were "forced" into the vehicle by the man who abducted them.

"HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Pennsylvania State Police have issued an Amber Alert for two boys who were last seen in Harrisburg.

Police are searching for boys Ammon Long, 5, and Ezekial Long, 4, who were last seen at 5 a.m. on Oct. 27 and were forced into a vehicle in the 2000 block of Holly, Harrisburg City.

The vehicle was being driven by Kenneth Smiley, a man who is 39 years old, 5-feet-5, and 180 pounds, according to police.

Police say Smiley and the two children are traveling in a 2008 black Nissan Maxima with Pennsylvania plate LMJ5478."

Smiley is currently wanted by police for criminal attempt homicide (3 counts), burglary, kidnapping (3 counts), strangulation, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and simple assault. Police added he is also wanted for absconder from PA State Parole.

...Kenneth Smiley broke into a woman's apartment
...tried to strangle his 4-year-old son.
...then tried to suffocate the 4-year-old before telling the woman, 4-year-old and another child that they were going to get in the woman's car.
...grabbed a 5-year-old by the hair and leg.
...Smiley told the three that they "were gonna die tonight."
...The woman, [sbm], tried to jump out of the car but Smiley attempted to stop her before loosing his grip on her. [the female victim] then fell out of the moving vehicle.

Man wanted in connection with PA Amber Alert taken into custody

According to a criminal complaint, the woman woke up around 3:30 a.m. to find Smiley sitting on her bed. She said she discovered she was missing a set of keys and thought Smiley probably took them.

When the woman went to wake the children, Smiley followed her into the bedroom. He then allegedly tried to strangle the 4-year-old and suffocate him with a pillow. The complaint said that boy is his son.

According to the complaint, Smiley also grabbed the 5-year-old by the hair and leg and acted like he was going to ram the child's head into the wall.

Police said Smiley ordered the woman and the boys into her car and drove off with them. The complaint states that the woman said Smiley told them "they were gonna die tonight."

Police said the woman was able to escape the car in the area of South 20th and Holly streets. A witness saw her fall out of the vehicle and called 911, police said.
