Authorities are looking for a 7-week-old child believed to be in danger and last seen in Washington County.

Investigators are looking for a 2001 Buick Century with a Pennsylvania license plate, LBD6681.

The infant is in the vehicle with two adults — Jeannette Funnen, 32, and Daemon Klingensmith, 23 — and a 3-year-old child.

These are the parents of the 7-week-old that police are looking for Jeanette Funner and Daemon Klingensmith.

Police in West Mifflin have just said they believe the children are with these adults, and believe the 7-week-old, Ambrose, is "at special risk of harm or injury."

This is what the 2001 Buick Century would look like.

Again, last seen traveling south on Rt. 19 at the intersection of McMurray Road which is near the Allegheny County/Washington County line.

Source confirms to me *something* happened at UPMC Children's hospital that precipitated this event, but we're still working to learn more information about what happened.

Regarding why there's no amber alert, county official tells me, "Because [Ambrose] hasn't been kidnapped."

Police said they were last seen traveling south on Route 19 (Washington Road) and McMurray Road in Washington County around 1:45 p.m. West Mifflin police said they may be traveling to Florida. Police did not say why Ambrose is at risk of harm or injury.

Help Our Comrades Keep Their Kids So many questions about this one. But this fundraiser sure "seems" to be related to the children.

While this happened in FL, it looks like the mom, and perhaps this isn't the first time the mother associated herself with people who didn't protect children?
https://www.bradenton.com/news/local/crime/article210286079.html

The strangest part about this is that the fundraiser refers to the mother as "Mara", which is the same name connected to this baby registry. So who in the world is Jeannette Funner and how is she connected to the child?

Investigators are charging the baby's parents, Daemon Klingensmith and Jeannette Funnen, with child endangerment and intimidation, retaliation or obstruction of a child abuse case.

They were last seen traveling south on Route 19 (Washington Road) and McMurray Road in Washington County around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

West Mifflin police said they may be traveling to Florida.

I'm confused about the abuse allegation. Did the hospital inadvertently tip them off? In the fundraiser website, they allege they're being blamed for abuse of the kids while they were in foster care.

There are previous allegations and there are current.

UPMC ER doctors likely questioned the injuries and continued questioning as their reports didn’t align with what was being reported by the family. The parents are aware of what abuse questioning looks like from prior incidents so even if they were not directly told CYF (Allegheny county CPS)/childline/police would be called, the parents were probably already suspicious.

UPMC (I’m in area and field, I do not have details regarding this case) typically does not leave a child alone with the parents once abuse/imminent danger has been considered though so I’m wondering what occurred when they actually left the hospital.
