Maria is 70 years old, 5’5″, 120 Lbs., with Brown Eyes, Short Black Hair and was last seen wearing a Red Coat.

I was always under the impression that the police called the shots in an investigation. This is pretty new to me when I hear it's all up to the family..

Also the police say she has depression?? This is new to the neighborhood people who know her, She always has a smile.
Something else all Christmas decorations are still up. Not at all like Maria. I hope the timeline as to when she went missing is correct.

Does Maria have any family members who live nearby?

Does she have her own facebook?

And how is that neighborhood up there? Can you walk around there?

There are a couple older people missing in Philly lately, towards the Northeast section. I think this case might be near the same area.

I hope isn't a trend, someone possibly preying on the elderly.

Wow! Thanks for bringing that thread over.Interesting.. Her area is just above Frankford, Behind where the 4 cemeteries meet at Frankford and Cheltenham Before bridge st. terminal. But closer to Harbison Ave. Tackawanna runs from frankford thru Wissinoming all the way to Robbins Ave. There is crime all over the city.
She has really good long time neighbors that look out for each other.
But in the day it's fairly safe to walk around. Most people know her as she always has a smile and will say hello.
No she did not drive. There are bus stops on every other corner to take her where she needed to go.
She is a very active church member and attended with her family each week. Yes she is retired, She only traveled with family.
Why she is not plastered all over the news is beyond me. Someone had to have seen her. She does not facebook. Her family is nearby.

She is a tiny senior, that really is an eye opener! Something to think about!

Actually, I think there was even a 3rd senior who has gone missing. You should read up on some of the other cases for some similarities. It certainly seems like the media underreports missing people, especially older people. Personally, I had an aunt from the area of Wissinoming, in the past, but she passed away a few years ago.

Bus stops have been quite a troublesome area lately in the city, with people getting attacked. Some of these animals (no offense to real animals) have no regard for older people. It sickens me.

Who saw Maria last? Did she ever go to PARX or Sugar House to play the slots?

Here is the other case of an older person from the Northeast area missing.

None of these threads have gotten a lot of publicity on the news. It must be frustrating for the families. I cannot imagine an older person going missing from my own family.

Thank you again, It's heartbreaking not knowing what happened or where she is. I cannot begin to imagine what her boys are feeling. I have tried to reach out to them,to get her listed on namus.And to get the press involved. Perhaps detectives don't want it out there. It's very frustrating.

I can't help but wonder if the cases are connected..The 3 day SUV in the Maglio case, is really off the wall. If it would have been one more day, I would be totally freaked out thinking definite connection. Still I am thinking anything is possible. The family is in church today praying as are all who love her are. God give the boys strenght and bring Maria home..

Just watching the news lately, and talking to people, the crime in the city has been out of control lately. There is so much going on that is under the radar, and many times just people doing every day chores, and getting preyed upon. It is just not a good situation that crime goes on, and it is not reported.

Was Maria very independent and liked to travel alone? I fear she went some place alone, and some perpetrator(s) did her harm.

Yes, very independent. Shopping, doctors ect.. We can't understand why nothing is on film anywhere.

You are preaching to the choir! Back in those days, my dad was a policeman.

Somebody should be checking Maria's usual routine for film, especially the stores she usually frequents. We don't really have any kind of time line on this case.
