''MILANVILLE, Pa. — State police are asking for help in a decades-old homicide and arson case in Wayne County after new evidence was uncovered.

Patricia Woll, 43, died in the fire at an apartment house on River Road near Milanville in August of 1997. Back then, investigators determined the fire was intentionally set, and Woll's death was ruled a homicide, but no one was ever charged.''

''State police in Honesdale say new leads and evidence came to light in June, and are asking anyone with information about the fire in Wayne County to contact them at 570-253-7126.''

Anniversaries noted of two unsolved homicides
'' A house fire on River Road, Milanville, claimed the life of Patricia Woll, 43 years of age. Investigation revealed that the fire was an arson and the manner of death, homicide.
The blaze occurred at the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Inisfree.
This month, a former coworker of Woll contacted The Wayne Independent, asking that the unsolved Woll homicide not be forgotten. Richard Scott states that Woll worked for him at NBO National bank in Olyphant.
He recalled that she was a rather private person, and very religious. She was an internal auditor at the bank and was completing a degree in accounting at the University of Scranton at the time of her death. She was a single mother, raising her son at the time. After the incident the boy went to live with another relative. Scott said that the bank raised some funds after the fire, to help Woll’s son.''
