All 12 Jurors voted 1st Degree Pre-meditated Murder and 7 Jurors voted for Felony Murder as well.

All 12 Jurors voted for EXTREME CRUELTY.

Now WHY can't they agree on the DP ? It makes NO SENSE IMO !

If they give her LIFE w/ or w/o parole they have let down Travis and his Family !


IF JA does NOT get the DP, "You can mark my words" -- I will NEVER EVER TRUST A JURY AGAIN !

This DT has really pushed too far, is there any case law on the DT interupting a jury in deliberation!! Is that really what happened today, did the DT come in there and negotiate another face to face for instructions...How does that happen!!! They are the ones efing everyones mind...

They agreed it was heinous...I bet its one person just sitting there, like that annoying aunt or uncle we all have, saying..."I can't vote to put anyone to death no matter what."

I just had this conversation with my neighbor this morning. She claims she could never take another person's life no matter what. But when I asked her if someone broke in her home and came at her with a knife, (she has a gun right there) would she shoot them, or let them kill her. Of course, you know she said she would have to shoot em! So, she does believe she has the right to take another person's life, but only if it saves her own! Hypocrite, hypocrite, hypocrite! Had I been in Travis' bathroom that day, I could have killed Jodi right then. What's the difference between then and now? You're dead either way......this way she just gets to live a little longer.

I think until the little family guilt trip, she would have received death.

But, with that story and her bro, sis, dad, and mom, lined up and pointed to like they were ... that did it, hung jurors.

I cannot stand how this manipulator will win again. I sincerely doubt that she cares about her family, and is using them.

For me, when a so called human being .. slices, gouges, mauls, another the way she did Travis, she has crossed a line that separates her from the rest of us. She no longer belongs. Death and that tiny cell is what she deserves.. the tiny cell and no human contact for the rest of her life, at the very least.

But bet on it, Miss TV news celebrity is counting on being the Queen of the ball, giving her book readings and all in prison, while dreaming whether futile or not for some imaginable parole date.

It hurts to imagine what this would do to the Alexanders, turns my stomach inside out.

A killing manipulator cunning to the inth degree is what she is.

You guys... she's been convicted of 1st degree murder. There is no way JSS will only give her 25 yrs as her "life" sentence if it goes that way. She will spend the rest of her life in prison one way or the other. That *is* justice for the Alexander Family. Does no one understand this? Of course they hope she gets the DP but either way she will be gone/out of their lives forever. Getting that conviction was the most important part of this whole drama. Getting the DP is icing on the cake, but even without that they do have justice.

I have to say that I wish the jury could have seen those interviews JA gave last night. She is so smug and absolutely believes that she was justified in killing Travis. I also wish JM had said in his close that this woman, JA, is a dangerous person and that her dangerousness far outweighs any of her fabricated mitigating factors. There is no doubt in my mind that given her freedom she will kill again.

What advice did the judge give to them to try and come to a decision? Please please please and thank you.I cannot watch, am at work and got an auto text that they were hanging from cbs so I came here to see what was up.

I don't care which she gets so long as she doesn't get out and they don't hang this thing.this has to stop. She needs to go away and be forgotten. Poor Alexanders, having the possibility of having to continue to look at her evil face must be devastating them all. My heart is breaking for them.

Off-topic, but I just found out there was an alleged terrorist attack here in London today. Gonna have to go off verdict watch for a while to follow the news. I hope justice is done.

Why don't they put a live cam of jodi's cocky no jury will convict me glee in the courtroom right now into the jury room. That might help.

I have a question for you. Why didn't Juan play it at the end? Sometimes I think prosecutors get too sure. They have to give all they can to the jury.

I thought Jeff Ashton held things back in the Anthony trial. But then, we had the Pinellas 12 jury. So maybe people can be swayed by a defendant who is a sociopath. Maybe they can be bought. And maybe, they are just dmb. Who knows?

Here's what I think:

Jodi Arias will never actually be put to death there - just get on with it and vote Death to remove her from the general prison population and to be sure she is never, ever a free woman again.

I don't see why there is a holdout or however ever many are holding out, to be perfectly honest.

I asked the same question upthread. It seems that the judge assumed and editorialised , because I'm sure she said they could not reach a verdict. And yet, the question is very different.

I truly thought this Jury would NOT end Hung. They've been through so much together and to end that way would be a travesty. Please Jurors, bring this to a close. Death or LWOP just make a decision. If you hang Jodi Wins, again.

Maybe it's me but it seems that the comment from the judge was in order considering there is/was a question it makes sense that they couldn't have reached a verdict if they have a question. jmo

Deciding life, death takes toll on jurors

When the deliberations began, the nine women and three men took a vote. Only three supported a death sentence, with four favoring a life sentence and the others undecided, said juror Mary Fobes, 74, of Mesa.

Catalano said he wasn't sure.

"I still hadn't made up my mind. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt," he said.

After one day, the jury went home for a three-day weekend that some called full of soul searching.

When they reconvened, Catalano gave a pivotal speech outlining his reasons for supporting a death sentence, and the vote swung to 11-1 in favor of execution, Fobes said.

"It was very passionate on why he thought she deserved the death penalty," Fobes said. "The more I thought about it, how could she be so brutal? She must have totally flipped her wig. I don't know how anyone could do that."

But the jury was on the verge of a deadlock, with one holdout, a senior citizen from Gilbert, saying he was adamantly against the death penalty.

She killed him in such a violent way. She stabbed him 29 times, shot him and slashed his throat from ear to ear. Then she cleaned up , threw everything into the washer machine. Then she dragged his body and threw him in the shower and washed her DNA away and left him to rot.
