According to GoErie.com, he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a white Ford Fusion near Buffalo and Downing Avenue just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The car was headed westbound into Erie and is stopped in the westbound lane of Buffalo Road across from Burton Elementary School, according to GoErie. The school grounds have been blocked off.

Steve Stephens was spotted this morning by PSP members in Erie County. After a brief pursuit, Stephens shot and killed himself.

I think he felt inadequate in comparison to them and that made him angry.

Good catch my son was in a fraternity I should have got that. Maybe they wronged him too.

I wonder if he's sat in Erie since the ping. I still see ppl saying he went to Philly, it's like a 7 hr drive there and back. Seems doubtful but maybe? Where'd he get gas etc? No one recognised him and car?
