Shannan had been working for Joseph Ruis (World Class Party Girls aka Lace Party Girls aka First Professional Referral Services). Ruis was charged with promoting prostitution, being the leader of a narcotics distribution network, and money laundering, and the business took in about $250,000 per month. Shannan reportedly met her boyfriend, and possibly her driver, Pak, while working for Ruis.

At the time Shannan disappeared she was a co-defendant in the case against Joseph Ruis.

"Prosecutors say authorities seized several hundred thousand dollars from bank accounts associated with the World Class Party Girls service, which charged customers rates ranging from $500 to $3,500 per hour.

Investigators found credit card bills as high as $20,000 for one session when more than one prostitute and cocaine was involved. And they say some customers had tabs as high as $100,000."

Ruis admitted laundering more than $3 million per year.


While Shannan reportedly advertised on Backpage and/or Craigslist... I believe it's possible some of her clients came from World Class Party Girls/Joseph Ruis.

Anyway, I know you've done a ton a research and are well versed on the LISK threads having put in a countless number of hours from what it looks like. So, here is my question...

I had found this news article of SG's arrest. It mentions she was arrested with an individual named EE. If she worked for Ruiz, then who is EE? During a Google search I was able to find a person EE is associated with who seems to have changed their name as well as their entire family. I found that rather odd, but who knows...

Gilbert’s employer was listed in the arrest log as Lace Party Girls and her alias as “Sabrina.” Both were released on a summons.

Wasn't Shannon supposed to testify at Ruis's court case? ..... Memory is a little fuzzy on that ....

And yep .... I think you could be right about her having kept some of her clients .....

Having spent years trawling through "Those Sites"....the Johns have their favorites.

They wouldnt care about who a girl previously worked for.....simply they want who they want.

But just like any business ...... its called poaching ..... you don't steal a customer base.

I imagine any previous handlers or % profiteers wouldn't be to happy to have an ex employee (if she was indeed an ex) take away business.

Way back when I first started posting about Shannan's connection to Ruis, I didn't have much luck finding information on EE. I had no idea he changed his name! And yes, I share your opinion... entire family name change... it's odd, or at the least... very puzzling! In the arrest report it's apparent EE was Shannan's driver, but now I wonder if there's more to him... more involvement in the business.

IMO there's something suspiciously odd with EE (and Pak) and their history as drivers for this prostitution ring.

"Gilbert has a standing indictment in Hudson County as a co-defendant in a case concerning First Professional Referral Services, the escort service where she was allegedly employed, on charges of conspiracy and promoting prostitution, DeFazio said.

The main defendant, Joseph Ruis, was convicted of money laundering and sent to state prison on a five-year sentence, DeFazio said."

Just my opinion:

I don't think SG's "poaching" of clients was enough for anyone to want her dead, but I do believe she did have high paying clients from her work for Ruis.

Rachael and Josh i was watching A&E this morning and they were talking about a serial killer that was a truck driver. His first name was Clyde but didn't get his last name. I'm not sure if you have discussed someone with this name but it may be worth looking into. I also think you should know that I10 running through Texas is notorious for several bodies of women being found. If you are unaware of this it wouldn't surprise me because Texas law enforcement try to keep everything hush hush. But being a former 911 communications officer in Texas is how I found out. There are several missing people in the area around me. I love your show and feel like you are doing amazing. I just with it would continue for a long time.

Weren't there 2 more murders after Shannon and the bodies placed a few miles down the road? My thought is the killer had no idea what happened with Shannon, so they continued to use the spot to dump bodies. I do not believe he would have stopped at 4 bodies if his dumping ground wasn't found. There is no way to make 4 bodies a theory when he left the 4th body very near the time period it was discovered.

You have me thinking Salsa ...

It wouldn't make much sense to continue murdering and dumping these ladies in the same spot....

If he/she (most likely "he") ..... knew the heat was on for Shannan's disappearance.

The only stumbling block I have to cement that idea is..... how much pressure was.. or how immediately threatened did the Serial Killer feel?

It would be interesting to know how much investigation was going on within the area prior to December when the first bodies were found....

When did they write off the John as not involved...driver not involved?

It was supposedly a rountinue?....Mr Malia on his own accord decided to take his dog out to train? ..... told to go look out there....that one has never been fully explained in msm that I feel confident...what it was......he wasn't even looking in the area where Shannan was last reported to have been seen...

Did he feel no pressure?? ...... was he unaware of Shannan being missing?? .....

For some reason...I don't think there was any police pressure put on anyone in the 7 months prior to the first bodies being discovered .....

I don't think the police were looking or knocking on doors for Shannan.......... not until the first body was found.

Thanks for posting this. It makes me feel so sad for SG... LE didn't associate her 911 call with the report of a missing female on Oak Beach until much later. Didn't SG's mother have to show them her (SG's) phone records identifying the call to 911?

As I haven't seen the show yet....can you tell me what if any connection to the Nursery owner was mentioned/explored in the show..

I listened to the podcast where Mr Ray said Jimmy....WAS a client....almost blew me away to be honest....

If she was indeed hitting...such high end... that really could put her in dangerous circles .....

That and the court case adds another whole angle to this case that I havent thought about much.

Motives such as
1-reduce competition or
2-elminate witnesses in a court case to get back tons of money or
3-a high balance client feeling they got ripped off and wants revenge

adds 3 different possible motives right there rather than just a random sick serial killer.
