Okay, so I think I have this rumor figured out. The clothes were not found in the pond, but were found with Hank Croslin Jr (now isn't that odd).

The search for Haleigh Cummings while unsuccessful in finding the little girl has uncovered baskets upon baskets of Cummings and Croslin family dirty laundry both literally and figuratively, with Hank Croslin, Jr. the latest to be plucked from the pile for public airing.

Yes, they are trying to send us to the loony bin.

Actual dirty laundry was in the trailer that night, the stuff Misty was washing without soap such as Haliegh's blanket, dirty laundry in the dryer, that sort of laundry.

The figurative laundry isn't laundry at all, just everyone's dirty secrets, including the newest family jailbird, Misty's brother Tommy who is currently enjoying his stay at PC jailhouse.

Is that clearer?

Looking at Google maps right now trying to find this pond that is off of Hwy 17 and South of downtown Palatka. Can a local give me a landmark near the area? I see Stokes Landing Rd, am I close?

LE must have gotten a credible lead for them to go to the expense of draining that pond.

I do hope it's not in vain and yet I hope it doesn't hold HaLeigh's body...I want her found but not this way.

That's where I've been looking. Stokes Landing Rd ends across the water from Stokes Island which is not far from Seven Sisters Islands which are where some of us were wishing someone would check out way back when Haleigh disappeared.

They said it's an L shaped pond a bit north and west of Satsuma, placing it on the western side of the river. It's a bit off the location map you posted, momtective, if I had the correct L shaped pond.

That is flipping nits. You cannot tell me that RC did not miss basket after basket of his laundry...that Tn and AS did not know there was missing laundry. Something really stinks...BAD

I would take it to be a figure of speech, IF it were not for the word "literally." This is certainly puzzling.

I wholeheartedly agree. Perhaps this lake should have been drained from the get-go. I can't say I'm too impressed with LE in Putnam County.

JMO, but I don't think LE will reveal anything. They are playing their cards very close to their chest. ME thinks LE may be very close to solving this case but they are playing it cool for now. Why risk leaking info that could cause the perp to run before they can make an arrest, KWIM?

IIRC, it was the Casey Anthony case.

Did they drain the water in Orlando? I thought they just dove.

They did drain water from an irrigation ditch for Sandra Cantu.

To me this feels more like what happened with Cantu. Especially since Tommy is in jail with such a high bond. Draining ponds is expensive. There is too much water in Florida for investigators to waste resources without a serious reason.
