Another thought I just had: Raven commited in his blog that he lived in 10 different places, going to 10 different schools in 17 years (or something like that)....wouldn't that mean his mother had numerous jobs? Wonder why? What was she running from?

Didn't MYJ reveal that they were on welfare?

Hmmm....maybe. Well there goes my idea that maybe she was fired from her jobs :) Of course, maybe they weren't on welfare the whole time. Raven stated in his blog something about they had tons of money and then they were on assistance. Where would the tons of money come from? Embezzlement? Could this run in the family? Where Raven learned it? THIS IS PURE speculation and we maybe grasping at straws, but maybe worth looking into?

Something about being on welfare--I've never been on welfare, per se, but have received section 8 housing assistance, and foodstamps and medicaid, when I was a recently divorced mom with two kids aged 8 and 4.

Moving from place to place is a real hassle. You have to reapply for everything, and every time you go in to the office for an interview, they want you to bring some other piece of verification of this, that, and the other.

Trust me, it would behoove the "welfare mom" to stay put!

And not keep changing everyone's name?

There are enough hassles to go through without that.

Of course, if she were reapplying rather than trying to continue aid already established, that might fly; but you have to produce Social Security #'s, etc, every time.

Does anyone know if Raven ever used any of the various Instant Messaging services, i.e., AOL, MSN, Earthlink, etc.? I know he has posted contact info on his blog as " futbalrguy (MSN) "

It would certainly be an easy way to chat with others: friends, co-workers, family, accomplices, whomever...

And frankly, given his proclivity for handhelds, he certainly could STILL be using instant messaging to communicate, etc.

And if I'm not mistaken, don't we have info that Janet was "messaging" with someone that evening?

It might be worth digging into this IM world and see if we can dig up anything....

...and has used IM's...I cannot provide any help on this, because my husband has totally disabled this portion of our computers...We have kids who we would prefer to be talking on the phone and then PLAYING OUTSIDE and swimming with their friends, thank you very much! Please PM me; I have some more thoughts on this for you...

Can someone who has MSN or MSN Instant Messaging check out the screenname / user name:

ravenabaroa (all one word)

SOMEONE using this screenname has been logging onto the Instant Messenger services, via a "mobile device." Further, if you are at all familiar with these services, one feature some offer is the ability to associate a "buddy icon" with your screenname. For example, if I were a huge NY Yankees fan (NOT!), I might have chosen to use a Yankess logo as my icon. The icon would be visible to those with whom you are chatting, and to people with access to your particular service, ie., AOL, MSN, whatever, in their online directories.

Stay with me here... lol

SO, this "ravenabaroa," which presumably is THE Raven Abaroa we reference here, but, I suppose COULD be someone else... well, this person does indeed have a "buddy icon" associated with his screenname...and the icon is? Soccer balls! Coincidence? Doubtful I think...

I know there are various services, AOL, MSN, Earthlink, etc., BUT, unless I'm wrong, I THINK they all link together with certain capabilities anyway. For example, if I was used AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and someone else used MSN Instant Messenger, we would both show up on one another's list of "buddies" (assuming we knew each other's screenname, and had added one another to our "buddylist").....

Now, all of that said (and I hope it was at least kind of clear??), my GUESS would be that Raven uses MSN, at least MSN messenger, as evidenced by his contact information on his blog, "futbalrguy (MSN)"

Thus, if someone has membership access to MSN, doing some searching on their online directory, messenger service, etc., would be helpful.

It might also be helpful in doing those searches to seach for Janet's name as well. We've HEARD that she was "messenging" that evening. Does this mean via IM? Who knows. Is it possible that Raven was "messenging" that evening as well? Who knows. As someone suggested to me as well, with someone with so many aliases, user names, etc., it might very well be helpful to search on them ALL (painful and tireless, I know...).... I'm plugging away at it myself.

But, we DO know that Raven loves his handheld/PDA, whatever you want to call it. And NOW we know, that he has the ability to connect to the internet with his handheld (mobile device)....

And, one last thing - once again it just RESONATES with me:

WHY DID LE NOT TAKE HIS PDA, JUST THE CHARGER???? (ok, so maybe it wasn't there, or whatever. BUT, hello, two + two here, if there's a CHARGER, then it stands to reason that there MUST be a PDA!!

It is such a "duh!" I can hardly believe the LE would not figure this out...I mean the detective has 18 years of experience (according to the warrant). I still go back to my question about whether there is more than two warrants out there.....what about searching the other vehicles and ceasing the computers. Maybe they did that in another warrant??

...indeed, one wonders why there is no PDA, laptop, and/or desktop on the warrant, or why LE didn't detain "The Rave" for failing to produce, or hiding or destroying these items, which they could have almost immediately after asking him for them/putting them on the WARRANT...

...can you say "detaining someone for impeding an active homicide investigation", boys and girls?

I can say it! I can say it! When they ran Raven's name in the computer, wouldn't his arrest for embezzlement come up? That, I think, would at least give LE the info that there may just be more to this murder than a burglary that went bad or suicide (or whatever Raven told them at the scene).

I think knowing what we know now, it is interesting police actually released the initial search warrant at all.

As tight lipped as they have been WHY did they just hand that one over? What are they trying to tell us by making that document public?

No kidding!! And here I thought search warrants were public accessible (like a court document) and the media obtained it:doh:

This is from the original article by Eric Olson.

DURHAM -- Durham police made public Tuesday an affidavit with a search warrant in last week's stabbing death of a woman in her home.
