I feel tempted to ditch work tomorrow and take a drive over to Big Spring. It's silly I know. We'll probably have the news on here just as soon as the ID is made anyway.

I guess I just don't want her to be taken out of there alone; ya know? Im sure there will be friends, family and searchers there. Does that make me a rubber-neck?

No, not at all would I ever see that as rubbernecking.. in fact your kind words brought tears to my eyes...

Ditto. I can see how u might feel like a rubberneck though. My wife and i would like to be there and just..like u said, support her in proximity or something so she isnt alone. Im hoping plenty of ppl
Closer to big spring will be on hand to show support.

Would you say that the Desert Tanks property is pretty secluded? What else is around there?

My take on the video from Midland news was the body was found by a Desert Tank employee, but whether on that property or not...??? The reporter stated it was near a prison???, but I googled and could not find a prison in the the vicinity. Locals?

This newsletter talks about an expansion at Desert Tanks-

Congressman Randy Neugebauer will be visiting the BSEDC, taking a tour of Desert Tanks — a recent venture supported by the BSEDC — and meeting with a couple of representatives with Transport Handling Specialists.

“Congressman Neugebauer wants to see what’s going on out there (at Desert Tanks),” Executive Director Terry Wegman said. “He is also interested in finding out more about the Big Spring Rail System and will be here for an hour to speak with two representatives from THS.”

The E.D.C. this week also approved a loan/incentive agreement with local company desert tanks, that is wanting to expand their facility. The agreement is an $800,000 loan from E.D.C. That would be part of a $1.3 million expansion of the Desert Tank facility at the Big Spring Air Park.

If there was an expansion at Desert Tanks, maybe this is when the fencing was put up?

It gives me chills that I suddenly decided to check on the Hailey Dunn case tonight of all nights. Now, the wait.

One of the locals mentioned there is a prison nearby and the lights from it almost make it to that location, but not quite.

thank knox, did you catch the blurb about the tractor going around nad baby ground hogs being colllected last spring??
(frist page, right column- I can't paste it)
hmm wonder where all the tractor drove

I did and scratched my head ... Did it drive around on a paved runway?:waitasec:

if this is her, it's almost like hailey has had her eye on the prison for some time... probably saying "that's right, HE will be in there one day!"

No kidding. I found out on Twitter. Shocked the heck out of me. Feels like when Caylee was found. I just know in my gut it's her, just have to wait for the ID. I hope there's more than just bones too...I do not want this case turning out like Caylee's, Lord no, I cannot handle another case like that!

I'm praying for Hailey's family tonight, well, except for Billie and SA. I'd love to know how they're reacting tonight. I alternate with anger and sadness. Part of me wants it to be her, and part of me doesn't. The wait is just the worst part of this for me. :( God rest her soul.

Would gas/oil companies give a blanket permission to all searchers to go inside their fenced in areas and look for Hailey? I'll bet the answer is "he77 no". The area she was found on might never have been searched. :(

Baby prairie dogs. Think of them as the Meerkats of Texas.

Perhaps she was concealed under stuff left there to be burnt? Gradually getting through it they've come across her?

Perhaps because they seemed to take narcotics vs stimulants, I always assumed he would not have taken a lot of effort to dispose of her, laziness, but I didn't think he'd be so lazy to just take her to the nearest dumping point :( :( :( I imagined he'd driven her somewhere.

Sometimes it's just the most convenient place bad people dump bodies. I learned that the hard way in the Caylee case. They just don't care, they just want that dead body off of their hands. Sounds like that is exactly what happened here. Poor Hailey, dumped like trash. Makes me want to cry.

like the words on Caylee's little shirt survived everything/winnie the poo too

Oh God...that just makes me tear up just thinking about that and all the talk about decomp and remains in that case...I need to go to bed and stop thinking about this for tonight...
