FWIW......I read there (don't watch her videos) and haven't seen her express that opinion of Nurmi.

It was in one of her earlier videos, but it was just a comparison of Nurmi's style in the guilt phase to this phase. She said he's more confident & not as slow this time around, that he's learnt how to project himself in court from Juan.

I think it is difficult to know exactly why jurors ask certain questions. Sometimes a question might make one think the juror is on one side over the other but there is no way to know for certain. Many times a juror already knows the answer to the question they are asking but they ask it anyway just to clarify or maybe even to get something on the record so it can be used in deliberations.

I was not alarmed by any of the juror questions of the bishop after direct. Hopefully I can say the same about what they ask after cross.

Did I miss something? I didn't know the Jury had asked questions of the Bishop, in fact, I thought Juan had just finished direct with him.... HELP!!!!!! I hate this trial by tweet, especially having to play catch up sometimes of an evening. YUCKY!! Anyone have the Jury questions or a link to them? TIA.

According to to the book by Jane Velez-Mitchell, she can over the next day to take him to a mechanic:
http://nypost.com/2013/08/18/exclus...-arias-sexual-obsession-led-to-tragic-climax/

Then, also in December, there was vandalism against Travis’ car when his tires were slashed. Even more strange was the fact that, the next day, Jodi called him nonchalantly on his cellphone, and when he told her about his four tires being slashed, she came right over to pick him up for the trip to the mechanic, sort of like the arsonist phoning in about the fire.

The tires were slashed again after that. See the section at the link on Slashing tires

A long time Gal Pal of mine had a stalker a number of years ago. My Husband and I helped her thru it. Going thru the legal process etc. etc. Early in she called me as her car would not start at work. Hubby and I arrived to help (suspecting it was him) Low and behold stalker guy shows up to lend a hand!!! There was some cable pulled or something of that nature. Guy was a wimp and eventually my husband threatened him with things I never heard him utter. She was never bothered again. I think they like to show up to appear they are of help and perhaps needed. In their convoluted minds!

That's a very good question. I certainly don't believe anything happened sexually that first night at the Hughes' house or the following week at Starbucks after he gave her the Book Of Mormon.

The other thing I've been wondering about lately is her little story about a cultural exchange trip to Costa Rica the summer going into her junior year in high school. Why would someone fabricate a story like if it weren't true? To make their life seem more interesting? So others would view her as worldly? The name of the guy whose host family she says she stayed with, Victor Arias, always sounded too convenient to me, but who am I to say? But then when I heard Deanna did her Mormon mission trip in Costa Rica, I began to think Jodi was adapting someone else's experience as her own. And also... aren't student exchange trips reserved for high school seniors only? She was too busy snooping through Bobby's emails at the library when she would have been a senior in high school, right?

Well, if she didn't visit when she was in high school, hopefully she can find a picture book of Costa Rica in the prison library to look at. Cancun, too!

Is there a possibility that she made that up? You betcha! There may be a chance that she was sent there to family members as an attempt at rehabilitation after her pot growing days too. The stern Uncle? I vote for the first option. I bet nobody she knew ever even heard that story until she found out about Deanna doing her mission there.
I guess it also could have been her family's cover story for the time she could have spent in Juvie for growing pot. LOL!

Proof #6 is spot on.

Yep....

6. The court bends over backwards for her.

I hope no one took my post as offensive, as it was not asked if she was cross-eyed or *advertiser censored*-eyed as an insult to anyone... not even to CMJA. I had not seen (or may not have noticed) it before. I may appear to be a little offensive in my posting at times, but never about anything health related. :peace:

I don't think anyone was offended, CA. I believe this was even discussed during the first trial. Whatever problem JA has with her eyes, it is more noticeable when she seems tired, maybe it is eyestrain. We just don't know, so there is speculation as to what causes it.

You were not offensive in the least.

ETA- sorry that's where his testimony starts. I'll look for the juror questions

If the nick from the Bic was unbearable, I'm thinking "she's not a needle fan" might be significant understatement.

I don't recall any ink, and we've certainly seen all her 'real estate' by now.

Yeah, she may actually faint (or is that feign?) dead away at the mere sight of it.

Can't understand how a woman who favours Brazilian waxing has a problem with pain tolerance. :giggle:

LOL Well...... I have to say the "hind bits" seals they deal for me

Hey, at least I can agree with them about something. I think Mr McGee should come on over and take the stand too. I'd probably fly to AZ just to get a front row seat!

If the state of Arizona manages to get that bonehead here to testify in court, they should broadcast it live on pay per view. I would shell out $50 to see the whole testimony from start til he's dismissed from the stand. They could pay the costs of this trial in it's entirety if that happened. JMO

You're worried about your posts being offensive?! Have you read any of mine. :giggle:

In Beth's latest video she said it's her understanding that Jodi could have been forced to do her allocution Tuesday before the State's rebuttal began instead of at the end of this sentencing phase

She also said she cannot reassure anyone that this phase will be readily/easily viewable after Jodi is sent off to Perryville. That it is being recorded....but who is going to put all the hours, days , months worth of this online to view? She says she'd like to but doesn't think anyone would let her copy all that for her site

Can't see where there really is all that much though. Just look at that list of actual court days in the past few months. I don't think it's really all that many. The days at the beginning would be unnecessary because it's just rehash of the trial. And you can guarantee that no one wants to see any of the testimony of the "expert" doctors. So bring on JA's secret testimony just to see her demeanor during that fiasco, maybe a little porngate just so we can figure out who Sue is (;) ) and any of the day's Juan was either on cross or direct. That should add up to about 15-20 days total. Not too expensive. Heck that would probably be less that the transcript of JA's life history. Now THAT was a waste of money.

LOL Steely. Heck I would shell out 50 dollahs just to see Juan annihilate him. It would be an epic moment.

No, I'd want to see the cocky attitude during the softball questions Nurmi hurled his way vs. his time against Juan. That would make it even more stellar.

So has she been crossed yet by Juan? if not, how on earth is it possible that she was allowed to deliver testimony and not be immediately crossed? perhaps there was an appellate issue I am unaware of but shouldn't that have been resolved by now? What's the hold up?

If she fails to be cross examined, she scores a massive victory, even if they "strike" her testimony. Because the jury heard it unchallenged and they won't magically forget

JA made up the trip to Costa Rica after she heard about Deanna going there. She steals snippets and bits of others' lives because she is a dark void inside. Unfortunately I know someone with a smorgasbord of personality disorders and she does this same thing. She actually makes NOTES on people and their lives and then weaves their stories into her dialog with others. She claims their experiences as her own and often embellishes them far beyond belief. Sound familiar?
Jodi was not a student at the time this fabricated trip took place. Who would have paid for this? My son actually DID go to CR one summer when he was in high school with a group studying bio-diversity. It cost $4000 + and the participants did fund-raising for many months to off-set some of the costs. Grades had to be maintained to a high passing level also. Does this sound like something JA would have even qualified for or that her family would have backed her in? It is absurd.
I think some relatives might live in Costa Rica (or some other Latin-American country) thus the trademark lazy lie of saying the exchange student family name was Arias.
She lies prolifically, but her variety of mental illness(es) preclude her from making a true effort to convince her audience that she is speaking the truth (HA!). She is really utterly unconcerned with what anyone believes, because only SHE (in her constant, deluded, self-aggrandizing state) knows what is true. Her truth is THE TRUTH and it does not (in her mind) rely on reality for collaboration.
So, in my humble opinion, she went to Costa Rica as an exchange student just like I went to Venus to mine golden marshmallows in the Popdiddly Mountains. :gaah:

It should be very easy to verify. Can't recall seeing any pictures from there either. And you know how much she loves pictures. You'd think someone would have either debunked it or verified it by now. She really didn't make much of an impression on people did she? No one seems to know anything about her. And those that do are keeping their mouths firmly shut.

They didn't get to juror questions yet for the Bishop. The Defense I suppose will start on Monday with the Bishop.

I always thought that story sounded strange as well.... Costa Rica, like Deanna and her "boyfriend's" name was "Victor"...as in Travis' middle name?? I mean, COME ON!!

K I have evidently entered the fog or my brain is scrambled To whomever it was above that asked about Juror questions for the Bishop. Duh! LOL we didn't get that far. Juror questions were for Deanna.

I'd pay his wife to annihilate him in the courthouse parking lot when she realizes why they're there. What on earth must she be thinking? Or does she even know about any of this?

:notgood:

My thoughts on why Travis was living in AZ is based on my own experience when I lived in Tucson. I worked with a nurse who was LDS. One night she came to work in the late '80's with this great new idea called PPL. She presented to me this great deal to buy legal insurance, that it was new and just starting up. I purchased a policy, was not asked to be a rep, just try out having legal insurance. She was very excited about this and said it will grow. So, I think Travis being in AZ may have been because PPL had become a really big thing and since he was high up, he was needed to be a leader in an area that was productive.

Anyway, I moved back to Pa. and when I needed some legal advice I went to an attorney and presented my PPL card. She said she never heard of it but took my card anyway instead of payment up front. A week later she called me to say PPL paid her fees right away and she was impressed and thought it was a great thing to have. The monthly fees for PPL were cheap back then and I kept it up for a year. Eventually I just let is slide, as I really didn't have any great need for legal advice.

So, this is just my :twocents: and JMO.

PS My sig is my tribute to my AZ living, I loved it there!!

Thanks for the information Sedona, and great to see you on here. I know that a lot of trucking companies use this insurance as well (mostly for traffic infractions, etc.) It has helped many drivers avoid losing their CDL license's because of accrued points.
