Man, I had to simmer down a bit after listening to that exercise in delusion before I was fit to comment.

Still simmering.
Yep, it is pretty disgusting.

Wonder if the Judge has listened to it and if he will hit him even harder tomorrow because of it.

Delusional and stupid, both Jerry and Dottie. I say Dottie since he referred to her in the context of "we" in his "statement".

Good point, I hope the judge hears or reads it and takes it into account. Throw the book at him, Judge!!!

Jerry Sandusky's prison statement [Penn State Com Radio]

Transcript: http://pastebin.com/Tc6qFKYb

Jerry can't complain about his trial and the lack of time to prepare a defense. He had the opportunity and the right to take the stand and under oath claim his innocence. But, he didn't. Why?

Sorry Jerry, no matter how you might complain and place blame on the victims, press, attorneys and others, you didn't take the chance when it was handed to you. Now shut up and do your time. And maybe, just maybe the healing can begin for ALL you have harmed.

Well just when you thought you couldn't be more sickened by this man, this happens;

Jerry Sandusky proclaims his innocence in jailhouse audio recording
From Susan Candiotti and Jason Carroll, CNN
updated 11:10 PM EDT, Mon October 8, 2012

Bellefonte, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- In an audio statement made while he sits in a jail cell awaiting sentence, convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky says that while others make him out to be a monster, he is a falsely accused man who will continue to protest his innocence.

"They could take away my life, they could make me out as a monster, they could treat me as a monster, but they can't take away my heart," the former coach at Penn State says. "In my heart, I know I did not do these alleged disgusting acts."

Sandusky co-counsel Karl Rominger confirmed the audio statement is legitimate.

"If he wants to say that, God bless the First Amendment," Rominger said....

ETA: Sorry, I didn't see it posted above already.

I would imagine that since civil law standards aren't as stringent that Dottie might be able be named as a co-defendant of some sort. Especially if they can prove she was home during the incidents. I'm sure Matt's testimony could be valuable in that respect. The University, Paterno's estate, Jerry's assets, Curley, Spanier, Schultz...when the lawsuits start it will be open season...

Of course Dottie was home. and yes she knew. Women always know! She was most likeky in the kitchen eating a side of beef!! I hope she is sued for eveything she owns.

"If I did it"?

Sandusky actually questioned times and places and his lawyer in his comment yesterday. Wonder if Amendola can feel the bus driving over him as Sandusky tosses him under in court today?

HARRISBURG — Jerry Sandusky will enter the state prison system a marked man.

His notoriety as a child molester makes him a target for violence from inmates looking to make a name for themselves, corrections experts and former prosecutors say.

Keeping Sandusky safe is “a nightmare for the prison system,” said Jeff Eiser, a Cincinnati corrections consultant and expert witness. “For the rest of his life, he’ll be a target.”

A judge will sentence Sandusky, 68, a former Penn State assistant football coach, on Tuesday in Centre County Court for molesting 10 boys over 15 years. With 45 convictions, he’ll likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Sandusky, who has maintained he’s innocent, plans to address the judge during the proceeding. “What I anticipate he’ll say is he’s innocent,” Sandusky attorney Joe Amendola said outside the courthouse on Monday afternoon.

On the eve of his sentencing, he released a recorded statement from prison that said, among other things, “In my heart, I know I did not do these alleged, disgusting acts.”

so what

The hearings start in 15 min. Is there any special place to post?

InSession is carrying the sentencing. Sandusky has arrived at the courthouse - appears to be wearing bullet-proof vest. JS does not look at all well, frail, has lost weight.

Thanks, BDE! I guess we can do it here???

I'm still reeling over the audio released yesterday. Sickening.

I'll post IS messages from Facebook...

Our Christi Paul is joined by In Session field producer Lena Jakobsson now. She is outside the courthouse in Bellefonte, PA where Jerry Sandusky will be sentenced. Sandusky arrived earlier this morning.

New IS thread for the case:

Good to be back here for today. Glad the Victims will get their time to be heard. As disgusting as Jer's statements just released are I'm glad he did it. It just may cement the deal for the max :please: His denial makes him even more of a dangerous predator. Give him the max Judge and tear a strip off him.

Christi Paul just said that Sandusky's lawyers have said they won't contest the violent predador part, even though they don't agree with it. They said that they agreed that was what the specialists say.

Hearing taking place now to determine JS' offender status while imprisoned.

Ugh! How could I forget that we have to wait for a break to get the news?

Jer is looking a tad frail :great:
