Sheriff’s office: Fight over car crash led to double homicide in Georgetown County
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Deputies captured a man who they said shot and killed two people and injured another after a crash in Georgetown County.
Authorities were called to a shooting around 5 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Indian Hut Road and Highmarket Street.
Once they arrived, investigators determined that three people had been shot during a fight over a car crash.
Deputies said the suspected shooter ran from the scene, and they deployed tracking bloodhound K-9s in some nearby woods.
Authorities were able to track down and locate the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Tysheem Walters III from Moncks Corner.
Walters is currently in the Georgetown County Detention Center.
