Is Florida an income tax-free state, as far as state tax? If the family owns property there, wonder if they claimed income was made in Florida?

we don't have state taxes.

When I was looking into SM I found he had ties to Summerville, SC. I found a route through the Francis Marion Forest which has been used as a disposal site for other criminals. It would be a close, familiar, secluded area to SM.

I have a busy day here & thanks to all who are praying, searching and keeping us up here at WS.

Prayers for the Elvis family.

JMO

Yeah, I saw that. Did the freeze kill them or something? Or did a dog pee on them? Bad looking palms. :seeya:

I'm in north Fla, we've had several freezes, although I'm sure not as long as SC. none of my palms are brown. oh, one is, but it's dead. all the others (scattered around several acres) are green.

I always assumed this is where they spend most of their Disney time:

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/

I remember seeing LOTS of photos of hotel rooms, but I don't remember seeing photos of camping. I remember reading about the camper, but don't remember when it was finished. Karma hopes they never got to actual use it. I know, I know, but...it's the little things!

'morning moorers! Beautiful sunrise today. How did you enjoy your view? :jail::loveyou::jail:

Here is the camper. Well A camper on their property.

ETA: Have no clue why that picture is on here three times :what:
ETAA: Now two times

I am trying to catch up on this case. OMG! TM is unbelievable. One thing I think I missed..the Moorers appear to be very wealthy. Did someone hit the lottery? There has been a lot of money put into vacations, campers, vehicles, and that house. I refuse to believe they brought that much in booking Disney vacations and doing maintenance work.

I live in AZ, it would take quite a while by digging around them to kill them. I also see poles propping some up. Maybe it was to be a new Disney photo pic for the business? A write off? Got me.

We did have a few hard hard freezes (takes less than 3 days of them) out here over the years that really killed our palms (not mine, I don't like 'em). Just wondered but with the poles propping them, it looks like a staged event or something. New palms that didn't take when replanted? jmo

yes, you stake them when transplanting due to so little roots. now I'm wondering what kinda palms freeze and die vs freeze and look fine. we had an ice storm a month ago, my palm by my house had icicles for days and it's green.

She should have made 6% of each Disney vacation she sold. She also got to travel at the interline rate....so large discounts on the hotels and cruises.

My guess is the cars are leased and the credit card debt is large.

Jumping in here prior to reading the remaining 22,000 pages to catch up. (Ok, 22,000 MIGHT be an exaggeration, but you get the gist :-) ). Anyway, if what I'm about to post has already been covered in the 22, 023 pages I have left, please forgive me!

Regarding the financial disclosure issue that the Ms have been arrested on; I'm wondering if it might have something to do with one of them being a fiduciary for another person.

I'll explain. I work for the VA and when a veteran or other claimant is deemed incompetent, a fiduciary is appointed to handle the claimant's VA funds (if/when awarded). The fiduciary MUST account for those funds if/when the VA requests an accounting. The accounting MUST include ALL monies the claimant has. The VA wants to make sure that the fiduciary is spending the money on the CLAIMANT it was intended for and only the claimant. When the fiduciary completes the accounting, it has to be filed with the county clerk, etc. If the fiduciary doesn't complete the accounting or there are discrepancies, the VA will give the fiduciary chances to fix it, but eventually the fiduciary can and WILL be arrested, if the accounting just doesn't add up.

Now...I am just speculating here. I know Social Security works much like VA in regards to appointing a fiduciary when a claimant is deemed incompetent. We don't know for CERTAIN that there aren't other adults or other people living within that little compound. We know of the Ms, their children, TMs father, right? Even within that dynamic, the Ms could be responsible for TMs father's finances and discrepancies have come about. Could be a trust fund issue for one of the kiddos or another person (if one lives there that we're not yet privy to the existence of).

I'm just trying to think outside the box. One of them being a fiduciary for someone else would give them access to funds to pay off someone to "take care of" HE. The Ms, TM anyway, seem narcissistic enough to believe that nobody would catch on, because the funds didn't come from her/their own bank account/funds.

ALL JMOO and the nature of my job pulled my brain string!!! LOL.

I was looking to see if she was in an accident of some kind and collecting or received a huge settlement. Maybe a job injury or its her parents money.

All I know is that LOTS of the psalms look dead to me! Tiny bit of joy there. TM was worried they wouldn't survive the snow storm that came through...maybe they didn't! :D

I don't think psalms are native to SC. Wonder how much it cost to buy one? Living in VA, they would have to be brought inside in the winter.

Found this:

If we're all on the edge of our seat, imagine the Elvis family. :( I don't know that their nightmare is going to end, but I pray they get some resolution soon, very soon.

I agree, 2Hope4, it has been a very long two months. For those of us that have been hoping, praying, and sleuthing night & day for a resolution. At least we can now see a glint of the light shining over the horizon. For the Elvis family, it must seem like it has been an eternity since Heather vanished and they were inducted into the ever growing involuntary fraternity of the new life's normal..
Their journey for truth and justice is only now beginning..

That's a good thought. She has the ability to park in handicapped spots, so maybe one of them is collecting disability?

If she was in an accident, there's no financial discrepancy, it's her money.

I like your way of thinking about it possibly being her parent's money though. I too am on that line of thinking. My mind is also thinking that it could be someone in either her family or SM's family passed away and left money to the kids and it's been tapped into to a degree that doesn't add up. JMO

Perhaps the ability to park in handicap spots isn't hers. I'd like to know if she has a handicap TAG or placard.

Well Palm tree go anywhere from 300 bucks to thousands. depending on the size and what kind u buy
A few years ago it got very cold here and I lost my imperial palams and had to replace them at 3,000.00 each depends how big they are! we bought tall mature ones not the little baby ones.

and yes they die from extended cold!
