Evans was last known to be held in the Madison County Detention Center in Mississippi.

He is no longer on the jail’s inmate log, and he is not on the inmate log for the Charleston County Detention Center in South Carolina.

Francis said Thursday that Evans is in federal custody.

Evans last appeared at a hearing in federal court in Jackson, Mississippi, on Feb. 16.

FBI spokesman Don Wood said there was not a definite date for his next court appearance.

Sooooo......if he isn’t an inmate in Mississippi and he isn’t an inmate in Charleston, SC, where is he?

I thought I saw he got sent to a federal prison in Alabama. I'll see if I can find the link.

ETA: Well I must be mistaken. All I can find is this:

Evans was transferred Tuesday from a jail in Mississippi, where he was captured last week. But officials have not said where he was taken.

A woman's body was found Saturday in Timmonsville, SC: http://wpde.com/news/local/deputies-at-scene-of-body-found-in-florence-county

Could this be Sharon?
Just bouncing on your post for no specific reason.

I just remembered the media reporting the murder suspect had been captured and then them retracting that info and Leo making the statement that the report had been a mistake. Which apparently he is a murder suspect , because they seem to suspect he killed SH.

Map of Boiling Springs where she lives to
A- town where body was found
B- where he was walking around trying to get gas
C- abduction and Break in
D- Atlanta where he ditched the car and stole another car

Thanks for the map. It looks like if he took the back roads from Boiling Springs to Charleston then Timmonsville could be on the way there.

[h=3]Missing SC woman, 911 call the latest developments in Lowcountry girl’s kidnapping[/h]
A 911 recording about the car was released Friday. In the recording, a woman tells the operator about a man who says he’s run out of gas near her Berkeley County home on Feb. 11. “My husband tried to help him earlier this morning, and he said somebody was coming to help him. Now he’s out here just walking the property and told me he was looking for gas,” the woman says. The man, it turns out, was Thomas Lawton Evans, 37, who would be arrested less than a week later for the kidnapping of HT.

Photos of the inside of the Civic posted online by Live 5 News show a hammer on the passenger seat and a zipper bag of toiletries on the floor next to cigarette butts and what appears to be an empty cellphone case. ABC News 4 reported that Evans asked two of Hayden’s neighbors to use their phones in early February.

And from the same article.

vans was staying in the Spartanburg County area after his prison release, officials said. Two days before police said he abducted H, Evans was found in Berkeley County with Hayden’s car, raising questions among deputies there about whether he had the vehicle legally. That day, authorities went to Hayden’s home in Boiling Springs to check on her, but she wasn’t around. Evans was allowed to go.
Hayden’s whereabouts have remained unknown, her mother and officials said.

Per sleuthing, it looks like TLE “goes by” his middle name. It also appears that some ppl know the possibly missing woman by her middle name, and she also uses another last name.

MTA Chaney Grove Rd and Hwy 76 is the middle of nowhere. I have family in the community to the South on 76.

Alleged HT kidnapper, stole getaway car from Georgia migrant workers. .Georgia deputies believe Evans abandoned a black Honda Civic belonging to his alleged girlfriend in a wooded area along Interstate 20 outside the town of Rutledge, Georgia, which is about an hour east of Atlanta..

.at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 14 tried unsuccessfully to use B. T.’s debit card at a gas station in Greensboro, Ga., about a half-hour down I-20 from Rutledge.

Morgan County deputies say the Impala was reported stolen shortly before 6 p.m., when four seasonal farm workers the car had been loaned to discovered it missing, along with $1,045 in cash and valuables from inside their ransacked temporary home.

The Impala was outfitted with a GPS tracking device by its owner, Illinois-based agricultural staffing agency Professional Ag Resources. Authorities used the GPS to track Evans down later in the evening.

Among the items reported stolen from the migrant workers' home were:

a Phillips One Blade electric razor,
a silver in color bracelet,
two pairs of jeans,
two pairs of athletic pants,
three T-shirts,
a blue Casio G-Shock watch,
a white Casio G-Shock watch,
a 24 inch Element LED television,

Deputies in Georgia also reported a black Honda Civic had been abandoned in woods behind the burglarized home. The Civic was traced to Sharon Hayden in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, the report states. Hayden's car had not been reported stolen, deputies say.

By the time the blue Chevy Impala in Georgia had been discovered missing and deputies were called, HT had already been rescued from that vehicle in Riverside, Alabam

This is also in the article

“Both neighbors say law enforcement showed up at Hayden’s home on Feb. 14. Hayden, too, came by that morning, but left when she couldn't get inside the apartment, and hasn't been seen since”.

Per another article

“Affidavits filed by the FBI Thursday in their federal kidnapping case against Evans show authorities were alerted at 7:30 a.m. February 14 to a man trying to use B. T.’s debit card at a gas station in Greensboro, Georgia, nearly 230 miles away from Charleston.”

So, if TLE was in Greensboro Georgia at 7:30 am on 2/14 and Hayden was seen by her neighbors the morning of the 14th, she either wasn’t with TLE and is laying low or it wasn’t her who neighbors saw. If she was with TLE when he went to GA, they would have had to leave the area where she lived by 4:30 am. My questions are

1) Who was with him? Was someone watching HT when the home was burglarized to make sure she didn’t run away or wander off? I suppose he could have left her locked in the Honda, but I would think he would be concerned someone would spot the car with her in it or that she would unlock it and leave.

2). If Hayden is just laying low, why is she laying low? Was she involved and is scared that someone (HT) can identify her or was there someone else invloved that is keeping her hidden or harmed her?

3) If it was not Hayden that was seen by neighbors, who was it? What time was she seen?

4) WHERE IS EVANS? He isn’t listed on AL, MS, or S.C. inmate lists, last I checked, nor is he listed on the BOP inmate search. Is this bigger than HT kidnapping?

A very interesting article on why he was released on time with the background of 11 in fractions plus taking a hostage while he was in prison.

The article speaks to two main reasons. Number one, that even with good behavior they cannot get out early. Especially because of number 2, the prosecutors usually do not prosecute anything that happens in prison. The article discusses how this has severely affected people's actions in prison.

“Evans is charged in a criminal complaint out of the District of South Carolina with Kidnapping involving a person under the age of eighteen. Evans was arrested in Mississippi, and has been transported back to Charleston, South Carolina, to be arraigned in federal court on the complaint.

The family of HT was there Monday as Evans waived his right to a preliminary hearing along with his right to a detention hearing.”

Thomas Evans, the man accused of kidnapping HT, was transported to the jail following a hearing in federal court on Monday.

He was in court facing a federal criminal complaint of kidnapping a person under the age of 18.

At this point, he has not been formally charged.Prosecutors say state charges will likely be coming this week.

Evans waived his right for a detention hearing and a preliminary hearing.

From another article (Charleston Post and Courier - so if you don't want to waste your limited article views save them for later).
https://www.postandcourier.com/news...cle_ffcb4a3a-2091-11e8-b287-9772d9966be5.html

Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson said afterward that Evans also would appear in state court this week but she would not discuss what charges he would face.

"There's conduct that is alleged that is not covered by federal statute. So we want to make sure that all the allegations are covered," she said.

These will be the charges for what happened with H's mother and related crimes and I expect he will be charged with kidnapping at the state level as well.
