Missing Person Alert

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating Shelia Thompson, a 54-year-old woman with what has been reported as serious medical conditions.

• Description: 5’2”, 115 lbs, black hair, brown eyes
• Last Seen: Monday, December 2nd at 10:00 PM at 216 Brentwood Circle, Greenville
• Vehicle: Possibly driving a 2007 tan Kia Spectra (TAG: WFD-363)
• Last Known Location: Balcome Blvd. and Main Street in Simpsonville at 1:00 PM on December 3rd (via Flock camera)

Shelia was living with family and was discovered missing the morning of December 3rd.

On Sunday, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office was dispatched around 10:45 a.m. after a vehicle was found submerged near West Church Road and Alpen Road in Easley.

The coroner later told WYFF News 4 that Thompson was found dead inside the vehicle.

According to the coroner, Thompson drove off the left side of the road down an embankment and into Three and Twenty Creek. The car was found submerged 3 feet by a private investigator hired by the family around 9:40 a.m.
