Fyi, JM is appealing the decision to put him on probation for a year.

Yes H4M & I am happy to hear that. I hope he is successful.

It's really, really, really, over, isn't it? :). Only the barest, most scant, occasional whiff of lackadaisical or sardonic interest remains.

Karma has arrived.

Bye Joe, so many thoughts and so few I can type here without risking mod-iting.

Hello everyone, I hope the days are treating you well!

Travis Alexander‘s killer was recently given the job of porter in the Perryville Prison, where she is spending life behind bars for the brutal slaying. While she is cleaning the building, she earns a paltry 10 cents an hour!

Arias has racked up 244 hours on the job since she started the janitorial work in August, and that amounts to $24.40.
However, a source told Radar that Arias was turning half of her salary over to the Alexander family.
So that leaves her with only $12.20 take home pay for the hundreds of hours of work she did.

Arias is a level 5 offender, meaning that she remains in “Maximum Custody.” This classification is for “Inmates who represent the highest risk to the public and staff and require housing in a single cell setting,” according to the Arizona Department of Corrections website.
“These inmates have limited work opportunities within the secure perimeter and require frequent monitoring. These inmates require escorted movement in full restraints within the institution.”

Did you read some of the comments below! I'm  about Jodi stay strong, hope you'll be released soon!

If half of her salary goes to TA's family, I wonder if that means half of any donations to the have gone to the family as well? Though of course, half of nothing doesn't add up to much. :D

FYI. Another election result: Judge Sherry Stephens won another term on the bench.

This tastes so sweet!

Jodi Arias' defense attorney faces four-year suspension after writing book

Laurence "Kirk" Nurmi, the attorney who represented killer Jodi Arias during her two trials, has signed an agreement to be suspended from practicing law for four years*because he published a book about the case.

The agreement claims Nurmi violated attorney ethics rules by revealing in a book the content of confidential conversations he had with Arias and her family, and revealing evidence ruled inadmissible.

Hi Caylee-sis! :)

A karma status review:

** Nurmi accepted a 4 year suspension of his law license rather than risk disbarment for violating attorney-client privilege, this for writing and self-publishing the "first of 3" books intended to justify himself, trash the and trial watchers, and to denigrate JM.

** Juan Martinez received a slap on the wrist after a posse of defense attorneys joined forces to press a largely redundant complaint against him. A bar complaint against him is still pending for writing his NYT times best-seller book about the trial before her appeals were denied.

** The Court of Appeals has yet to receive opening briefs for the 's appeal. This is because the trial record is so (unnecessarily) massive court transcribers are still working on transcribing all of it accurately. The COA has vacated not only it's deadline for receipt of opening briefs, but it's notice of the trial record completion. Translated: 's appeals are back to square one.

** Judge Sherry Stephens won her ballot battle handily, and will remain on the bench.

** Lumley is apparently reorganizing, likely due to legal pressure by the ACLU. Death Row as such is being abolished, meaning DR inmates such as Forde the baby killer are being integrated into the Maximum Security population. So, even if the had been given the DP, her living arrangements would have been no different than they are now, at least for the first 5 years.

** The is cleaning toilets for 10 cents an hour, half of which is going to the Alexanders' for restitution. Donations to her scam appellate fund dried up months ago. Her few pitiful attempts to stay in the public eye resulted in having her contact visits privilege revoked for months, and in widespread scorn. Think Beano and zit cream.

** And.....the Alexanders. Samantha Alexander recently married. Tanisha Sorenson has found another niche as a successful fundraiser for non-profit causes.

This is so good to hear. Hopefully Samantha and Tanisha can remember what joy feels like again to help them heal and move forward.
