How to give a cat a pill:



1. Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a
baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cats cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth.

2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left
arm and repeat process.

3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.

4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. FORCE jaws open and PUSH pill to back of mouth with right forefinger, hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call
spouse from yard.

6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws, ignoring low growls emitted by cat, get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth, drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.

7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make a
note to buy new ruler and repair curtains.

8. Carefully sweep floor of shattered figurines and vases and set aside for gluing later.

9. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with its head just visible, Put pill in the end of a drinking straw, FORCE cat’s mouth open and blow pill down straw.

10. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.

11. Retrieve cat from roof of neighbor's shed.


12. Get another pill, Force cat’s mouth open with dessertspoon, flick pill down throat with rubber band, close cat's mouth and hold shut to the count of 30.

13. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of your last tetanus shot.

14. Call fire department to retrieve the cat from tree across the road,
apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat.

15. Take last pill from foil wrap.

16. Tie the cat's front paws to rear paws with twine and bind tightly to
leg of dining room table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by piece of steak. BE ROUGH ABOUT IT. Hold cat's head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.

17. Get spouse to drive you to emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye.

EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 60

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags. Then try 50-lb potato bags and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level).


After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

Used this method on emus and everything smaller. Sometimes I wish I still had cats, but then.........I regain my sanity!

This was hysterical. I especially liked #9 which I've never tried a "pea shooter" method with the straw. LOL

Does anyone remember real "pea shooters". We used to buy them at the 5+dime store down at the corner. Its hysterical to think they actually sold them to us kids.

It was basically a large thick straw that came with a small bag of round hard dried peas. They were real cheap to buy. We used to buy a few packs and have pea shooter fights with each other.

Then on the trip home in the station wagon, we would crack the car window in the back without our parents knowing and shoot at the passing cars. LOL

Luckily, that was well before people invented "road rage". Otherwise I would have gotten my Dad beat up by an enraged other driver.

Those were the days. Its amazing to think of all the things they use to sell us kids to try and kill us.

-Daisy 1-*advertiser censored* lever action BB-gun to also put your eye out

-The 1 year they came out with Lawn Darts which my dad actually bought a set for us kids. They were huge and heavy.

-Wrist rocket sling shots (may still have those)

-Ash Cans + Cherry Bombs for the 4th of July. You had to know Jimmy down the block to get those.

-M-80s around the 4th of July (equivalent to about a 1/4 stick of dynamite). You had to wait till Jimmy's Dad was ready to set those off. We'd grab the most beat up metal trash can on the block and put it in the middle of the street and we would all cheer when the trash can lid would get blown off and go flying about 3 stories into the air.

Boy, we had some fun back when we were kids. Kids dont know what they missed these days. At least most of them dont have to worry about losing an eye, finger, or hand. LOL

I couldn't stomach more than a minute of Fonseca. What a hate-filled, arrogant and immoral woman. Some people will do anything for $$$ and their own twisted agendas. I'm waiting patiently for Demarte's testimony.

Troy does not believe that there is any truth to the meltdown rumours. I like Troy but how would he know? The jail cannot provide any information on this matter. Arias would never allow MDLR/Keifer to talk about it since it would 'de-edify' her. My guess is that she did have one. I pity the concrete walls that have to put up with her abuse. :giggle:

Sentencing day is fast approaching. I hope the Judge de-edifies Arias and tells her off but I think that she will simply talk about the fact that the jury found her guilty of premeditated murder and will then sentence her to....well, hopefully LWOP.

I really enjoyed these and had to check out who Warren Zevon is. How sad to learn he passed away from cancer before I even knew of him. Thanks for adding these to my playlist.
