 I was wondering the same thing, since it was my post!! LOL!

Oh - I took a picture of my :christmastree: last night! If you way to the top you'll see Homer Simpson with a santa hat and a beer; than on the left side you'll see I believe it's Kevin, a minion! And Mickey Mouse in the center! :D

Oh! you even have gifts wrapped and sitting under the tree! Wooohooo...which one is for me? :giggle:

Here is my tree for this year.

This pic is my Disney Theme outdoor display from many years ago. I cut the figures out myself and painted them. My son has these now and sent me a pic last night that he got them put up yesterday and flood lights around them.

Good Morning Friends :) Remember always SMILE. A SMILE is nearly always inspired by another SMILE.

Susza, I don't think any of us are keeping score in posting, and shame on us if we do. You have been as a friend, and I never expected you to post a certain number or subjects, and you have contributed wisdom, and a keen sense of humor. I mean how could you stand us if you didn't? Some of us are just more verbal and opinionated - if I have something that requires thought on each issue, I write it out and email it to myself, then all I have to do is cut and paste. That way if I'm posting to one or several topics I can think about what and how I want to say something.

And you do know that if you ask for advice, even though we all may say it differently, it's almost the same advice. Please don't go, some of us are just more verbal and opinionated and vocal than others, don't let that stop you from sharing idea's, thoughts, opinions, and questions.

Just where did you expect us to stay when we stop to get you? And who'll show us your beautiful country? And the gourmet meals, and wine promised? Oh and Zuri will have the pheasant.

Thank you very much, Pages!
A special bottle of wine for you. Which one do you prefer???

That was a nice heartfelt post Suza.

You are always welcome here. Don't ever feel bad about only being able to post whenever you can. And don't ever worry about not being able to convey things. We don't care about being grammer police or anything like that. The nice people here always welcome me back even when I get lost on other crime threads.

We all know everyone's time is limited and there are periods of our lives where we sometimes get sidetracked and cannot drop a line here.

I consider this Sidebar thread as my "home" WS thread. I know when I come here I will always be safe and I always get a smile from the other wonderful people here. No other WS thread is like it.

Come anytime and lurking is ok too. :)

Thank you very much, Hatfield. You're absolutely right, I have to always keep this in my mind.
Yes, it's a warm, cosey and funny HOME.

You are not allowed to leave. Ever.

Je t'aime et je tu voudrais ici tout LE temps. Tu n'allez toute la bas mais ici. J'ai oubliez toute ma francais. J'espere tu comprends. Je suis chez dentiste pour ma bouche. J'ai manque ton telephone. C'est domage.

Bien sûr, je comprends. Bravo, Zuri! You'll be our tour guide on our ride through Switzerland. What about the german part - who's ready to guide us there?

I have two golden teeth since quite while already. I don't like them because every time I travelled in South America, Madagascar, India or Nepal - they think I'm carrying a treasure in my mouth. And they are right. That's wy I'm worried... ;)

Hey all!

RSBM

Just a "little" off topic - but my Huz' grandmother (all these are mother's side) is from Stein, Toggenburg, St. Gallen, Switzerland; his grandfather was born in Corgemont, Bern; his great-grandmother born in Wattwil, Toggenburg; his great-grandfather is from Emmen, Lucerne.
I've been to Lucerne - Beautiful!! My mother and I took a bus trip and we're having fondue - unknown by my mother that is was just bread and cheese - she got tried of eating all that cheese - so we took the bread to the lake and fed it to the geese! And Black Forest cake - yummy!!! Love that stuff! What is the older Chalet-Restaurant and what city?

Going to sign off for the night - but first have to check out Teresa Sievers thread for the "new" info released!

Take care everyone! :seeya:

BBM 1:
Well, this one still isn't existing, I mean, yes, but only in my imagination. Up to us to make a decision.
Do you have any preferences???

On the unforunately sniped parts where you explain the medecine issues: It seems that there are some nice people in the medical staff that try to do their best to help you out. That's really great and I hope they'll succeed.

BBM 2: It's an interesting case and I would like to watch some documentaries. Will make a search.
There is another case I was interested in but don't remember the name- hmm, I'm sharing some brain issues with Zuri - a mum & dad and their 2 children; they were found somewhere in the desert.
Would anyone have an idea?

I would also be grateful for video suggestions concerning interesting cases. I've watched a lot of "power, ... and privileges", some "mystery..." and reportages about unsolved cases but I don't like unsolved.
What I liked most was watching the Pistorius trial. I'm fascinated by the argumentation, logic... And one of the best parts was the session where the verdict was overturned. These 5 high judges and especially Leach impressed me by their sharp minds.

1954 - Dim Dim the Lights (I Want Some Atmosphere) - Bill Haley & His Comets hit the charts.

Good morning to all my special imaginary friends. I hope your day is as good as mine will be.

Update: Death row inmate Terrell waits as execution hour passes

"JACKSON, GA. — Brian Keith Terrell’s appointed execution time of 7 p.m. Tuesday has come and gone, but he remains scheduled to die tonight for the 1992 murder of his mother’s friend....

Unlike a number of condemned men who have preceded him, Terrell, 47, did eat his last meal. But he had the same dinner served other inmates at the Diagnostic and Classification Prison near Jackson: chicken and rice, beans, rutabagas, turnip greens and cornbread...

If Terrell is executed, he will be the fifth person Georgia has put to death this year, more than any other year since the state first used lethal injection in 2001."

The Latest on Georgia Execution: High Court Response Awaited

"10:15 p.m. (Tuesday)

The U.S. Supreme Court hadn't yet issue a decision after 10 p.m. on latest defense filings on behalf of a Georgia man scheduled to be executed for the 1992 killing of a friend of his mother.

Brian Keith Terrell had been scheduled to receive a lethal injection at 7 p.m. Tuesday, but hours passed without word from the justices. Terrell was convicted of murder in the June 1992 killing of 70-year-old John Watson.

Tuesday evening, the nation's high court received late filings from Terrell's defense attorneys. Those were presented after the Georgia Supreme Court and an appeals court earlier Tuesday declined to halt the execution..."

Georgia executes Brian Keith Terrell after struggling to find vein

"JACKSON, GA. — Brian Keith Terrell was put to death at 12:52 a.m. Wednesday for the 1992 murder of 70-year-old John Watson of Covington.

Terrell accepted a final prayer and refused to record a final statement, the Georgia Department of Corrections said in a release.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied Terrell’s final appeal shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, clearing the way for the death to proceed. But it took an hour for the nurse assigned to the execution to get IVs inserted into both of the condemned man’s arms. She eventually had to put one into Terrell’s right hand...."

2 Missouri death row inmates suggest gas chamber, not lethal injection, for their executions

"KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Attorneys for two Missouri death row inmates who claim their medical conditions would make lethal injection too painful have suggested the gas chamber as an alternative way to carry out their death sentences.

The attorneys for Russell Bucklew and Ernest L. Johnson are required by previous court rulings to offer an alternative method of execution as they argue that chemicals used in lethal injections would cause an unconstitutional risk of cruel and unusual punishment.

Bucklew, who is on death row for the 1996 killing of a man in southeast Missouri, had his death sentence stayed by the U.S. Supreme Court in May 2014. Johnson, sentenced to death for killing three people in 1994 in Columbia, had his execution stayed last month..."

Executioner Wanted -- Care to Apply?

"Help Wanted - Executioner For Part Time Work: As/when required. Must be discreet and obedient to judicial orders. Able to carry out assignments without passing personal judgment; impartial to client age, race, sex, nationality, religion, or pleas of clemency. Persons subject to fits of compassion, mercy, or second guessing need not apply.

Can you do it?

The polls say sixty percent of you can -- forty percent of you can't. Surveys consistently indicate a majority of North American adults support capital punishment... under the right circumstances. So if you support it... you should be able to hand out the death penalty...

So... are you up for the job?

Got what it takes?

Decide soon. All applications must be in by midnight."

Son of missing UK Lord Lucan asks for death certificate

"LONDON (AP) — The son of English aristocrat Lord Lucan — who disappeared after his children's nanny was bludgeoned to death four decades ago — has asked Britain's High Court to issue a death certificate so he can inherit his father's title.

The son, George Bingham, wants to become the Eighth Earl of Lucan.

His father, Richard John Bingham, the Seventh Earl, vanished after nanny Sandra Rivett was found dead at the family's London home on Nov. 7, 1974. Lucan's wife, Veronica, was hit in the head repeatedly when she ran downstairs to investigate.

Lord Lucan's bloodstained car was later found abandoned near England's south coast.

In 1975, an inquest jury declared him Rivett's killer. Detectives believe the aristocrat — a heavy gambler nicknamed "Lucky Lucan" — intended to murder his wife and killed the nanny by mistake..."

How to Avoid Being Murdered by a Serial Killer

"Have you ever met a serial killer?

I can't say I have -- at least not that I know of.

But I've worked with other police officers who've dealt with serial killers and I've investigated unsolved homicides that could be the work of a serial killer. The Highway Of Tears in northern British Columbia, Canada, fits the mold. I've also helped send killers to jail who were possibly caught just before their serial career started.

So how would you avoid a serial killer if you met one?..."

9 Reasons The 'Dirty Dancing' TV Remake Is A Terrible Idea

"On Wednesday, it was announced that "Dirty Dancing" is getting the remake treatment (again).

ABC greenlit a three-hour musical version of the 1987 film, and all we can say is: WHY? Have we all learned nothing from "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights"?

The original film is a camp classic complete with steamy love scenes and political undertones. In our opinion, it shouldn't be subjected to this cruel remake treatment. Here's why: .."

The joys of the season were everywhere, in the cut outs of poinsettias my mother used to decorate the small, lit tree on the stand beside the blackout shaded windows; the aroma of home cooking; the plenas and aguinaldos blaring from the Spanish language radio station -- the same radio where two years before we learned about a place called Pearl Harbor, and the president had announced our country was at war...."
