Yup. Basically what Baez has done with his book is give a closing statement that he was not allowed to give in court because he could not corroborate any of it.

(And he still can't. Maybe someone will sue his publisher!)

I agree. But then he couldn't corroborate his opening statement either but he still gave it.

So just a few quick words about "the Book"...

Watching the release and tracking the sales of Baez's book has been so much more fun than i ever expected and I have to admit I feel absolutely joyful every time I go into either amazon.com or novelrank.com and confirm that yes, it is a disaster. There are no other words to describe it.

However, silly me - I assumed he would float his book honestly and have his public respond by buying it - and buying lots if he is the most sought after defense lawyer in the country, as he seems to claim.

But no, true to form, he's chosen to manipulate his sales as anyone can see if they ask novelrank to update his chart. There you will see a definite pattern of sales that cannot be just a coincidence. I should guessed of course...but didn't.

So I'm going to leave him to his games for a week or so because like any fraudulent scheme, it eventually collapses and those who perpetrate it have more than egg on their faces when the public become aware of it. He will have egg plus a huge stock of books in his garage...heh heh.

So carry on" book sellers" - I'm one who wonders why you bother because this is one event we know how it will end. :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Well alrighty then, I started a new discussion at Amazon with this question, "Do you think JB's book should be recalled for factual inaccuracies" ???

And now I'm off to spend the day with my oldest daughter(age 43) and my youngest daughter (age 34) these two are so funny and sweet. Hope you all have a happy peaceful day :-)

Thank you for doing that. I already responded. Have fun with your girls!

Yes, something can be done by the publisher. It just so happened that a book on Thomas Jefferson was just pulled by its publisher for its inaccuracies. Now wouldn't that be something if Benbella were to do the same to JB and his "book of lies"?

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/48617599/ns/today-books/#.UCg0I6B0mVE

A best-seller about Thomas Jefferson by an influential Tea Party and evangelical figure has been recalled after the publisher announced on Thursday that it has detected factual inaccuracies in the book.

Has anyone sent them a list of the lies, deceptions and inaccuracies?

That is hilarious! All three reasons are fact and I'd sure like to hear you have actually done it!

LG it is done. I never have returned a book before but I saw the "different from website description" reason for a return on amazon. I had to go for it! Bought the book to compare the lies but I couldn't even read the whole thing and it wasn't worth the aggravation. I hope more people decide to do the same. :please:

Just imagine JB having to pay for all those books. Imagine them piled up all over his house. Now imagine the felon and Spindy texting and calling every few minutes to ask for their share of the blood money.

Now imagine that nobody wants to touch JB with a 10 foot pole since he comitted professional suicide involving himself with the felon and writing a book to defend her.

Now imagine that the felons "supporters" are getting sick of supporting her and are no longer seeing the big payday in sight.

Maybe the Karma train is just around the corner? :please:

Well done! I think it is fraudulent to sell a book under the Criminal Law section non-fiction that deliberately ignores the documents entered into evidence and proposes that his "theories" are the truth.

In other words, if you are a lawyer and want to win a defense case - it is just fine to ignore the evidence and present a pack of lies - so it's not about justice it's about winning period. Very sad state for the justice system.

I saw that and thank you for taking the time to do so. If I had bought the book I would return it because it is fraudulent and presents information that deliberately contradicts the evidence documented in court. I wouldn't care if I got a refund or not!

It is one thing to lie and stretch the truth in a book, to try to make yourself look like a bigshot, but it is quite another when he talks about evidence that didn't exist, or exaggerates possibilities that have absolutely been overruled during the trial as not founded by any actual evidence. It is out and out fraud.

"The sheriff's office says it has no idea how many times investigators have searched for Caylee over the last two and a half months or how much it's costing taxpayers. The helicopter alone costs $500 an hour every time it goes up. "

I don't remember LE helicopters being used at any time in a search for Caylee - do you? Racking my brais....News helicopters - yes...but they don't count...

I sure hope they included that cost of the helicopters in the money Casey owes the state for fraudulently reporting a "missing child".

Interesting - read the article you posted. It says it costs $500.00 to send a helicopter up - it does not say it sent one up. It is talking about the number of times the LE searched for Caylee.

I would need more confirmation than that.

why would a helicopter need to be sent up at all for a child who drowned when u could just climb the ladder cindy left up...??

Consider Baez's recent claim that Florida's Sunshine Laws stand in the way of justice and fair trials. He elaborates by saying that with documents released the public knows too much about the case. (OK he said bloggers, but bloggers are just people--citizens--the public.)

What I find most interesting about all this is that in most cases where a defense attorney cries that a situation (or specific laws or the media or what-have-you) have stood in the way of a fair trial, it is when their client is convicted. However, his client was not convicted, so why is Baez so insistent that the Sunshine Laws are bad?

Another thing that is most iornic is Baez's whine that "the media" distorts and thwarts...considering he and his clan have used and continue to use that very media to further his cause!

Any legitimate arguments there might be regarding the Sunshine Laws and media distortion really do not come into play here. If anything, the laws may have actually helped Baez in that they make it more difficult to seat an unbiased jury. And the media helped him in more ways than not!

So, why is Baez up in arms about Sunshine Laws? The only answer I can come up with is that now that the trial is over, Baez's attempts to further his courtroom antics/lies to cash in on a child's brutal murder have been thwarted...because the public has access to the truth, thanks to the Sunshine Laws.

Return your copy of the tome, folks. It is a defective product that is in no way, shape or form as advertised. Use your refund for something positive--maybe take your child or grandchild to a show, or donate it to TES.

Logicalgirl, I'm in the mood for a stat's up-date. Can you humor me?

Just reading on the other thread about Caylee being found with no shoes.
Does anyone remember when fca said "They haven't even found her clothes yet"? I believe she said that to Tracy (I know it's hearsay).

Was there ever any proof that Caylee was in the house the morning of the "drowning"? I know fca and jb said it, so it must be true :banghead: We know fca was there because of computer and phone records. Does anyone remember where fca was the day before?

This is all my opinion and theory, feel free to shoot holes :twocents:

:dunno: but I always felt Caylee died in that car. She was made sick from something (chloroform, xanax, possibly just being in a hot car, take your pick) and possibly vomited before she died. Remember the above statement about the clothes....fca had to get rid of them somewhere. They (original clothes) probably haven't been found to this day.

The day fca backed the car up to the garage. my opinion, she grabbed the laundry bag, the to small shorts from the goodwill bag and the winnie the pooh blanket.

I know nothing will ever be proven and I'm sure this has been discussed before. Just reading JA's book and it makes me so sick and angry again. :maddening:
