Having two children of my own, if some lawyer affiliated with a court case of one of my oldest friends came to me, and said the that friend was pedophile, and had written letters owning up to that behavior, that had been authenticated, initially I would not believe it. But, being a parent, knowing it is my duty to protect my children, I would wonder if my close friendship with that person clouded my judgement, and maybe there were signs that I did not pick up on. Ultimately, I am unsure what I would do, but I would definitely look into the matter, before making a final judgement.

I don't know that they believed him.

But I know how easy it is to believe information from seemingly legitimate sources only to discover the source is rotten to the core.

If you're referring to the evidentiary hearing, I have that saved as a bookmark so I can listen to that again.

Can you link that please! I think it's the only thing out there I haven't heard yet!

I was hoping the Hughes would bring to light the specific "incident" that was catalyst to the events that led up to the murder. The only person who knows the truth, that is still alive, does not know HOW to tell the TRUTH. GRRRRRRRRRR frustrating.

yep. Wouldn't it be great if we could give JA a double dose of the "truth syrum" we saw in those shows from the 50's and 60's!?

Until this happens. We're stuck with the current version.
:liar:

Is court set for 930 arizona time? Thanks

Wow Beach he said that. I missed it.

Yep. That one line has lived in my head ever since I read it or heard it. It's the KEY to what JA did to him. Travis was angry but more so he was hurt. He also mentioned being betrayed. I initially thought JA played some evil game with him and maybe told him she had been pregnant but got an abortion, or something along that line. I don't believe she ever was, and many disagree with me about this....I think by the time she pulled that card on him, she knew it was over. It was not about hooking him and having him.. It was all about hurting him and stopping him from exposing just how truly evil she is. What Travis went through in his childhood was bad, but he loved his Dad. Others have spoken about that. For him to tell JA that she hurt him more than the death of his Dad is HUGE. IMO.

I really believe that they didn't know. They probably had never met anyone as manipulative as JA. But she sure set off Sky's hinky meter.

This might just go to the crux of why Travis didn't listen to them. They may have been 'too involved' in his love life, or all aspects of his life, in the past.

They're freaking busybodies! (And that is describing it charitably.)

ITA and BBM~ I wondered why they never had a lawyer working for PPL and all.

Also, if CH was the the executor of Travis' will, was he the beneficiary of insurance policies?

Just throwing it out, because some of us look deeper into the surface.

I don't know anything about wills, besides my own, but I wonder why TA did not have one of his brothers or sisters names as his executor. Actually, I think it was TMI to have even heard that CH was TA's executor.

I posted this before and it was lengthy. I am too tired to rewrite it tonite, but the vital thing to focus on regarding what JA did to TA to get the extreme response from him where he was going to expose her.... He said that she hurt him worse than losing his father....
If you can come up with a short list of what would hurt him worse than that, we might come up with a plausible answer.

hmmm first time I heard that. I wonder if it's possible that she told him she was pregnant and had an abortion? (and then finding out she lied about it) I could see her only saying that in person/on the phone rather than in a message or email (no trace of it). I am not sure what his beliefs on abortion would be, but being religious, he may have been pro life. Just a thought. and JMO

Juan threatened a witness with a perjury charge if he testified at trial -- in those words?! yikes

IDK if JM said that, someone had said that he said that, could be true or not.

Is there a list of tomorrow's witnesses around?

Read that a few days ago. Someone said JM told MM if he testified he'd have him up on perjury charges before his feet hit the ground. :floorlaugh:

I'm thinking JM has quite a bit of damaging info on MM, that's why he's vamoosed...

Dyed his hair, got a fake ID, and moved to Mexico.

You're right, usually it does work, but a lot of times it doesn't. And I'm not just thinking of that ONE who's name we do not speak . If even one innocent person is wrongly convicted it's one too many, and we've all read many cases where that happens. But I'm one of those that also believes that it's a travesty when an obviously guilty person walks because of the fickle sentimentality of the jury, or because of their ignorance of the basic fundamentals of law.

Don't throw tomatoes (or rocks lol), but I do see some upside for having "educated jurors". Maybe not "professional jurors" as I've seen discussed before, but at the very least make it mandatory for a person to go through some basic legal course in order to qualify for jury duty. So that they understand the fundamentals of the trial process, and important concepts like what constitutes reasonable doubt.

JMO. :truce:

I love the idea of professional jurors ... I would ask they have an above average IQ and come from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.

Curious in Indiana, People are coming onto the forum at different times through out the day and respond to different post as they read them. Its probably why you are still getting responses. Then they will read your explanation as they continue to read on. For that reason, it will die out in a couple of more pages. No big deal.

Yes! He was going to expose her, so she killed him.

But, somehow, she snaked her way in on Jun4 after he told her not to bother on the phone Jun3 early am hours. imo

IMO, he wanted to expose her to all for what she had done, so he was not afraid to expose her because he knew it was a lie and he was not trying to hide it, he wanted to expose her...if that makes any sense lol

I was thinking the same. My imagination can't compete with the reality presented in this case. But what could it be? The secret? I am at a loss. The only things I can even come up with:
She was a Manson follower and carrying out his acts of helter skelter. :stormingmad:

or Maybe JA was a callgirl and TA was going to out her.
She was an alien from another world with a fairly decent disguise but he knew what she looked like underneath the human suit.:moo:

She was a zombie in disguise, feeding on small animals and men.
:scared:

Whatever the secret,
I'd sure like to learn the truth instead of staring at my crazy list of possibilities.:please:

Have you considered a Shape Shifter from Another Dimension that feeds on
snuffing up good energy?

Travis said everything she touched...I forget the rest.
Everything gets broken.
