Speaking of Obesity, CNN is reporting the nine states with the most obese people--In no particular order: Texas,, Michigan, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia

Hmm, I live in southern Mississippi and we've got some big'uns here, lol. But there are also very healthy people here too. It's all these darn casino buffets and the sweet tea.:p

My husband gets very ill if he consumes anything with asparteme. I don't care for it either, and usually use splenda in my coffee.

That's enough symptoms to warrant a week or so of no sweeteners just to see, huh?

Actually it took about a month to get it out of my husband's system and to notice a huge improvement. But you can also find just as much information saying this is an urban legend and not true. But since it helped my husband I tend to believe it's not good for you.

Take away anything, but don't take away MY DIET PEPSI!!!!!

It took about a month for my girlfriend to notice the difference as well. She lived a rather healthy lifestyle in the first place, and this was the only thing she changed those few weeks.

My daughter gets headaches from the gum/mints/candy and water drinks. She goes through stages where she stops and then starts up again.

So since I live in Texas I guess my extra 10+ pounds still make me look thin compared to the majority of people around me. Cool!

Fresca is my sugar-free drink of choice. Diet green tea is a close second, followed by regular iced tea with Splenda. I can't afford to take more than a tiny sip of real Coke or Dr. Pepper or I'll get hooked.

VIVA LA FRESCA!!!!!!!!

Susan

I know. :blushing: I have probably sipped three times in the last decade. The lime drinks were tempting!

So far it hasn't bothered me, but I know I should watch. Thank you for caring. :blowkiss:

awww you're welcome sweet gal! :blowkiss:

I'm still not giving up my diet coke. No way, no how.

i've been a Coke 'freak' for years...the REAL coke classic, but i just can't drink the diet Coke, BUT i've finally gotten use to diet Pepsi, caffeine free, & i'm not going to give it up either....i usually have two a day & i haven't noticed crazing sweets at all.....
