This couple reminds me of Suzanne and Barry in Colorado. :(

Same here.
Hoping this one will have a good ending, but I would be very surprised if it does.
My heart goes out to the children -- they must be frantic and scared for her and themselves, but I'm betting they (or a couple of them, surely) have seen or heard other arguments between their parents that were probably very upsetting and scary.
Godspeed to LE, and prayers for Suzanne.

Could it be money laundering? I would love for Suzanne to be safe, but it's doubtful at this point.
The ATF usually doesn't deal with money laundering.

In any case, money laundering takes months and sometimes years to investigate. They have to follow the trail of funds through the financial system so it's a slow, laborious process. It's unlikely they'd be in a place to arrest him so soon for that. (I suppose they could have already been investigating him and it's just coincidence that this happened right when they were prepping to make the arrest. But that's pretty unlikely.)

Edit - I wouldn't be surprised, though, if we eventually learn that financial crimes are at the heart of all of this.

Where are the children? Is there a relative close by? Are they going to school? SMH.
Mother missing; dad in jail. It just takes my breath away, thinking about them. (Perhaps I missed a report on them).

The truck comes with a built in infotainment screen, with apple carplay, and android auto, so it does have telematics, so GPS movements should be tracked. As to knowing when the specific doors were opened and closed in the BM situation...I'm not sure.

It's a 2019 GMC Sierra AT4...the AT4 is a trim within the Sierra model. Some things that jump out to me specific to the truck...

2019 GMC Sierra AT4 info
GMC started using a black box type-GPS unit in Oldsmobile 88s in 1995. I’ve not looked into his truck but, if it was newer, it probably had one, even if the OnStar system (which is different) wasn’t activated.

I've seen this in a few different articles...
Brad Simpson’s mother spoke to KSAT on Thursday, Oct. 10, and said her family is “devastated.”

“I’m in total disbelief,” Brad Simpson’s mother, who did not reveal her name, told KSAT. “... we are a devastated family and we do need privacy and that’s all we’re asking for because our only concern right now are these children and these grandchildren.”

In a Facebook post, Barton Tinsley Simpson said their family’s priorities are to find Suzanne Clark Simpson and comfort her children during this time.

“Our family is devastated by the disappearance of our beloved Suzanne. We are doing everything we can to fully cooperate with law enforcement, and our first priority is to find her and bring her home,” Barton Tinsley Simpson said.

He continued by saying they’re ensuring her children are protected while police search for her. He added that the family is “desperately seeking” answers and pleading for anyone with information to come forward.

A missing Suzanne.
Excavators on site.
Troubled relationship.

Deja vu.
Another woman who wasn’t able to make it out fast enough.

Prayers up that she’s found.

Which makes me wonder if he can operate earth-moving equipment.

I pray she is found okay, but I'm not optimistic at this point.

I hope they have checked landfills/dumping sites along BS's possible route to Bandera. Junk Removal AG Disposal, Pipe Creek Compactor Station, and Bandera Garbage Station (the latter 2 being owned by Bandera County), would have been very accessible for BS on his drive from Olmos Park, with a stop at Boerne Towers, then making his way to his ranch in Bandera. All hypothetical...I hope Suzanne is found safe.

From KSAT, drone flying over the search nearby the shopping mall

I wonder if they were searching there not only because they know he was driving at that place, but also because he owns one of the properties shown by the drone ?
There's a report that is where the last activity on her phone was at 7:15 Monday morning. Found it - https://www.expressnews.com/news/article/san-antonio-suzanne-simpson-missing-19832020.php?utm_campaign=CMS Sharing Tools (Premium)&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral

Hopefully there's CCTV in that area that they can review and will show if his truck was there too. JMO

White tents always get my attention but these are perhaps for staging LEOs.

I'm wondering, after the extensive as yet unproductive search yesterday, if he did leave her there originally but later moved her a second time. Guessing he has access to other vehicles, perhaps older models, making tracing harder.

Any construction near the cutrent search site? A commercial roll-off that's been hauled away since? With dogs and this many days, you'd think she'd have been found if she's there... so maybe she's not anymore?

Will we never run out of these threads?

Just dreadful for her family.

But doesn't that article say that Suzanne’s cell phone was last active near a business parking lot in Olmos Park (i.e. near where they live). I don't recall reading that her phone was active in Boerne.

(Sorry, I'm having trouble connecting to the link today.)

"We discovered Brad Simpson was sued by American Express,
Liens were placed on the couple, and they own several properties.
Now, some of those properties are being searched by investigators.

A federal detainer has been placed on Brad Simpson by the ATF which means if he bonds out, he will be taken into custody by US Federal Marshals.

His next court appearance is scheduled for October 13th.

Legal experts tell us that the hearing could be his public defender requesting a lower bond."

To ask a question to my own post :)
13 October is Sunday.
But it is reported he has Court appearance that day.
