It would have still been changed for the rapid refund...on the filed return that you would not see. They would have listed their bank account as the DD account number.

I don't think it will be July. I called the IRS for my husband to verify the account number they had on his return and it was the rapid refund bank's number....but the IRS told me that they would attempt the deposit and it would fail so a paper check would be mailed 3 weeks later. His DD would be May 16th. I would call them and find out which account number they have. If they have you set up for a DD, I think it will be sooner than July.

Mine was deposited yesterday into a closed account, so I have to wait 3 weeks for a paper check and here I was all excited because my social ends in 00! :bang:

Doesn't make that much difference to me. I could use it now. I could use it next month... if it doesn't come till July, I'll be able to use it then, too! Basically, any time I get money, I can use it.

Well, I went out and spent it Thursday. I don't know if it arrived yet or not, but a jewelery store in town was having a major sale. The older couple who owned it retired and have turned it over to their granddaughter. At 70% off, I just told the BarnGod he owed me big time.....So, a Garnet ring, a channel set diamond necklace and a journey pendent spent my stimulus check. Well, sometimes, we just need to have that pampering. Good for the soul. Our money should be here by May 9th as we had our refunds sent directly to the bank, no paper checks.

We got ours too, but it was less than we thought. I thought it was $600 for me and dh, and $300 for each kid. That would have been $1,800, but we only got 1,380. I don't know how they came up with that.

Does anyone else think the stimulous check is a joke as far as stimulating the economy? We used ours to pay off a personal loan that we needed recently. Everyone I talk to is paying off bills because they have been robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I don't agree or disagree. It's all going into my gas tank to increase the profits of the oil companies, anyway.

I don't know where you live, but if you have to have heat between now and November - I'd move.

Yeah it is!! But my electric bill went from 200 to 460 something so It may be Fan weather I may have to keep the a/c off.

Ah, but how do you heat your water, hon? My propane bill for last month was astronomical-and I keep the heat set at 65 and 62 at night...milk is 4.59 a gallon and I have three tiny ones so we go through a lot...no more school drop off either because a tank of gas is 60.00 every 4-5 days...ah well, tell me where it is better and I am there!!!

I'm in the same boat as you. I did a free file through HR Block and at no time was I prompted to enter DD info. No biggie right? I can be patient and wait for a check. A week later I find out my check won't be here till the end of June. Am I a second class citizen or what?
