Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere and I missed it....

When JM asks Jodi about something she testified to on an earlier date and she fudges her answer, why doesn't he refer to transcripts of that earlier testimony to refute her new (and improved!) answer? Is that not allowed? I could swear I've seen that in other trials.

Better yet, I wish he could cue up the video of her on the stand where the lies are COMING OUT OF HER OWN LIPS!

Oh, is that what that was? I thought he and Arias had had some kind of fight. They both seemed extra cranky yesterday. I figured <mod snip>had told <mod snip> that she needs to stop adding details to her testimony if she wants to avoid the needle.

I believe La Violette was sitting by Arias's mom during the trial at least one day, and I couldn't believe it.

Did this stand out to anyone else?? When JW questioned the ME about the pic of TA on the ground with blood coming from his neck... She asked him if it was possible that the blood was coming from the gunshot wound.

Ok, then yesterday when shown that pic by JM, JA said she didn't know if his throat was even slit yet in that picture.

How in the world would they think pointing that out helps them??? If his throat hadn't been slit yet, then they have a picture of him clearly bleeding profusely on the ground. He is obviously not a threat to anyone at that point! So they are suggesting it's possible she slit his throat after that pic? Ummm ok, not self defense!!!! Thanks for clearing that up. :eyeroll:

Part of Nurmi's Objection! after each ofJM questions was just doing his job. The majority of the Objections were to interfere with Martenz flow of his cross. I don't believe it worked because Martenz was too seasoned of a Prosecutor to let Nurmi bust his bubble to work on Arias!!

I believe it annoyed the Jury, Judge and those in the gallery and us, Websleuthers, though!! hahahahha

Mormon culture discourages calling the police. It reflects badly upon the Church because any altercation, domestic violence, crime results in the caller being identified as a Mormon in the newspapers. There is shame attached to calling the police to your home.

Travis was a motivational speaker and no doubt was climbing the priesthood hierarchy of callings inside the Church. He was writing a book about living with character.

Is he really going to call the cops and say what? Can you please remove the stuck in my doggie door?

If true, that's a real shame. No religion wants to appear in the news in a negative light, but calling for protection should not be in that category.

Doesn't her DT go over these stories with her and are allowed to say, now that just won't work, you can't get all that done in 62 seconds (or you can't fly to the top of a closet...) etc? For someone who a lot of people claim is very bright, Arias isn't a very intelligent criminal ... here's the start of a laundry list of her "mistakes" ,,,,

1) Keeping gas receipts indicating a 3rd gas can and charging some gas on a credit card and paying cash for the rest
2) Stealing a family gun to kill Travis
3) Dyeing her hair on the way to Mesa
4) Throwing the camera in the wash with the SD card inside
5) Leaving bloody palm and fingerprints at the scene
6) Turning down a white car in favor of a red one
7) Getting MM to forge letters indicating pedophilia
8) Telling LaViolette that Travis was looking at child on the computer
9) Recording Travis on a sex tape
10) Taking pictures of a bloody finger injured at work, but none of the "injuries" supposedly inflicted by Travis

Please add to the list ...

11) using the word "obsessed" in her testibaloney
12) sending irises to TA's grandmother
13) leaving voicemails, texts and emails after the murder
14) uttering the "No jury will convict me" line
15) telling Detective Flores TA never had a gun

Trying to prove she could stand on a 40 pound rated shelf and get a gun that may or may not have had a holster.

Saying she didn't know what TA did with the knife after cutting her loose and then knowing where it was while TA chased her after shooting him.

I saw a case on tv just that past weekend where a man murdered his wife by strangling her on a workout bench using the weight bar. Of course the defense said she was on medication and it was an unfortunate accident. When the jury went into deliberation, they were 7 to 5 in favor of aquittal. After doing an experiment using a workout bench and bar to recreate what happened, they convicted the man of first degree murder. Can't this jury do the same type of experiment or even go to the house and do the experiment? That would be the best way to disprove what she is saying!!!

Only if the judge agrees, I'd think.

Imo, what is going to happen is they are all going to disregard her entire testimony because it is not credible nor trustworthy.

She calls travis from a few miles away, to tell him that she was going to sleep in the uhaul. He let her come back overnight! But I read a post that said she clung another four days.

This may have been discussed already and, if so, I apologize. Did anyone notice JA's mention of taking a picture while in the U-Haul truck? I think she said her neck wouldn't show and, IF it did, the bruises would have been covered by makeup. Also, she mentioned something about how she had not seen the photo in years.

Does that mean Juan Martinez probably got his hands on a photo of her in or beside the U-Haul right after the alleged choking incident and will bring that in during rebuttal? TIA for your thoughts!

Just jumping in...as I am sure everyone here has learned, it's impossible to "catch up" when being away overnight.

Regarding the jury experimenting with the shelves, or whatever.

I just can't imagine anyone living in today's modern world of "do it yourself" furniture, and organizational units either at home or work, that hasn't had experience with those types of shelves.

EVERYONE knows what happens if you put too much weight too far forward. EVERYONE knows that if you put too much weight anywhere the pegs will break or fall out.

I just can't imagine anyone not knowing how they work. Granted, most people have NOT tried to stand on one to get to an upper shelf...because they know what happens. LOL!

I don't think this is lost on anyone in that jury. They seem rather intelligent, and are following along well IMO based on the questions asked.

And even if my "everyone" is a stretch (admittedly that was rather inclusive)...I think people would be able to understand that a shelf laying on 4 small pegs wouldn't be that sturdy, no matter how much you weigh or don't weigh. That picture is very clear with all those little holes, and that they aren't stationary.
