Following is a chronological list of key events in the abduction of Brianna Denison and the hunt for the serial rapist police say killed her and attacked others.

— Jan. 20, 4:30 a.m., Brianna Denison goes missing from 1395 Mackay Court, Reno.
— Jan. 22, The FBI, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and University of Nevada, Reno police join the effort.
— Jan. 24, Friends of Denison conduct a vigil at Reno High School.
— Jan. 25, Rally held at Lawlor Events Center.
— Jan. 27, Police establish a DNA link between Denison’s abduction and a December kidnap and rape of a UNR student.
— Jan. 29, Volunteers from two national missing children’s organizations The Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children based in Friendswood, Texas and the Polly Klaas Foundation based in Petaluma, Calif. joined the search for Denison.
— Jan. 29, The Web site www.briannadenison.com is launched.
— Jan. 31, Police establish a DNA link between a Nov. 13 attempted sexual assault to the Denison case.
— Jan. 31, Reno police say a UNR student reported she was raped in a campus parking garage Oct. 22. Police said the cases have similar characteristics, but the October case has not been connected to the others.
— Feb. 2, Denison case featured on “America’s Most Wanted.”
— Feb. 4, Washoe County asks private sector for $150,000 in donations to help process a backlog of 3,000 DNA samples from convicted offenders.
— Feb. 6, Donations to eliminate DNA backlog at the Washoe County Crime Laboratory reach $70,000.
— Feb. 8, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says it has surpassed its goal of raising $150,000 to eliminate a DNA backlog.
— Feb. 15, A woman’s body is found in south Reno. Police say the woman’s identity and cause of death will not be known at least until the following day.
— Feb. 16, Police confirm the body is Brianna Denison and that she was strangled by a serial rapist who left the body there more than a week ago.

PREVIOUS UNR-AREA ATTACKS
About 5 p.m. Nov. 13, a 21-year-old UNR student was walking to her home and was in the parking lot of her apartment complex in the 400 block of College Drive when a man grabbed her and fondled her. He ran away after she kicked him and screamed.
About 2 a.m., Dec. 16, a 22-year-old UNR student was walking to her apartment in the 1400 block of North Virginia Street when a man grabbed her from behind and rendered her unconscious. She woke up inside his pickup and was forced to commit a sexual act on him before he drove her home.


i didn't realize that one of these happened at 5 pm...i was under the impression that all the attacks took place in the wee hours of the morning....

November 13th, tuesday around 5-6 pm
December 16th, sunday around 2 am
January 19th, saturday around 5 am (break-in attempt of Dec 16th victims home)
Brianna - January 20th, sunday 4:30 am

IF the guy is responsible for the October 22nd attack, i think it's safe to say he doesn't work on weekends......(maybe?)
....i don't think he works a night shift....JMO
 
Thanks c_e, I was getting confused on the different attacks. I made a list since there has been another incident reported for October.

Oct. ??, 2007 - around 10 a.m.
A woman has come forward to report an additional attack near the University of Nevada campus back in October.

Campus police confirmed the report late Wednesday after the woman went to police on Tuesday.

The victim told police she was walking up 11th street listening to her iPod, when a man came up from behind her and grabbed her. She screamed, and the suspect ran away.

Oct. 22, 2007 - around 10 p.m.
A University of Nevada, Reno student told police she was raped in a UNR parking garage about 10 p.m. Oct. 22 south of Lawlor Events Center and within

100 yards of a campus police station.

The woman in the October attack , a UNR student in her early 20s, said she was returning to her car to leave campus. UNR police Chief Adam Garcia said the woman said she was attacked from behind and held at gunpoint while being assaulted in the Whalen garage.

* Nov. 13, 2007 around 5 or 6 p.m. (depends which article you read)
According to a Reno police report, the 21-year-old woman was walking about 6 p.m. Tuesday through the Westwood Apartments parking lot, in the 400 block of College Drive, to get to a relative’s apartment. A man pushed her from behind in between parked cars. She was forced to the ground and fondled. The woman screamed and kicked.

The report said the suspect then kicked her and ran off.


She described her attacker to police as a white man about 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 inches tall and of medium build. The man wore a dark/black hooded sweatshirt with a dark/black colored beanie.

a 19-year-old Reno woman who disappeared under suspicious circumstances about 4 a.m. Sunday.
Brianna Denison was last seen at a home at 1395 Mackay Court near the north side of the University of Nevada, Reno.

Control: physical presence, victim was rendered unconscious (no weapon).

Incident:
Break in attempt at residence of December 16th victim.
Circumstances:
Door knob of main entrance broken off, the suspect was unable to gain
entry to the residence.

Sunday, January 20, 2008, between 4:30am and 9:00am.
4th week of January
Location:
1395 Mackay Court detached house (Residence).
Weather:
Max 45F, Min 25F – no precipitation
Precipitation in the days preceding (Dec 4-12) and precipitation in the days immediately following (Dec 21-31)
Attack:
Vehicle used in the commission of crime: YES
Method of Attack: (blitz / surprise)
Control: physical presence, blood was found on the couch where Brianna slept suggesting the use of physical violence in the house. The presence of a weapon is unknown. The method of strangulation is unknown. Whether or not the assault and murder took place exclusively in the residence or at some additional location is unknown.
Other:
Underwear was recovered at the crime scene which was taken from the
residence.
The suspect transported the body from the residence.
