TBI offers reward in 18-year-old unsolved murder case
"NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in an 18-year-old unsolved murder case.
On June 8, 2001, police in Paris, Tennessee were called to a Rison Street home only to find 72-year-old Etta Etheridge dead. Authorities didn’t say in their release how she died, but stated the death was ruled a homicide."

"NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee man has been arrested and charged in a murder case that went cold for 18 years.
Douglas Talley, 51, is accused of killing 72-year-old Etta Etheridge, who was found unresponsive in her Paris home in 2001, news outlets report."
Over the years, the state Bureau of Investigation and Paris police worked together on the case and recovered new evidence and leads recovered that implicated Talley, according to a state bureau news release. Details about those leads and evidence weren't immediately provided.
Last week, a grand jury indicted him on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree murder in the perpetration of a robbery. He was added to the bureau's Most Wanted List the next day and quickly arrested in Nashville, according to the bureau's statement."
