MPD searching for missing mother and 2-year-old daughter
Memphis police say a woman and her 2-year-old daughter are missing.
The woman’s mother said she last heard from her daughter, Jennifer Evans, 36, Saturday afternoon around 1:15, police said.
Evans’ mother said she told her daughter to go to Pull-A-Part on Farrisview Boulevard in Memphis to get her rim fixed.
She said she received a text from her daughter telling her everything was okay and she would call or text soon.
Evans’ mother said she never got a call or text, and when she tried to call, her daughter’s phone went straight to voicemail, police said.
The missing woman’s daughter, Christina Evans, 2, was also in the car, police said.
She was driving a 2007 white Honda Accord and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, white/blue/green pants and a headscarf.
A police officer attempted to contact Pull-A-Part and Evan’s job in Southaven, but was unsuccessful, police said.
