Tennessee woman #RobinHowington stands accused of felony murder, aggravated child neglect, and tampering with evidence, among other charges in the 2019 shooting death of her 5-year-old daughter Destiny Oliver.

Howington allegedly gave police several different accounts of the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death when authorities responded to reports of a shooting in Knoxville on Sept. 13, 2019. The defendant initially reported an unknown man entering their home and killing her daughter, police said. Her account later allegedly evolved into the man being the girl’s father.

Authorities found a handgun in a nearby bush and Howington first allegedly said that it was her boyfriend that placed it there, but later conceded that she was the one who wiped it down and stashed it there. Her alleged confession came with a new account of what happened the day of her daughter’s death, saying that it was her 2-year-old son who found the gun in a closet and shot her daughter.

Security footage from a neighbor’s house allegedly confirmed that #RobinHowington was the one to put the suspected murder weapon in the bush.

Prosecutor is reading the indictment to the jury. #RobinHowington is charged with 6 counts in the shooting death of her 5-year-old daughter.
