Guys remember that poor Peaches was dismembered and decapitated, there must have been tons of blood everywhere. I think missing shams or old freyed red towel were last of perp worries.
Maybe they had sex on the towel and pillow in his house. Or maybe smothered using that pillowcase and dismembered elsewhere.

My understanding, correct me if I am wrong, is that Peaches found in June of 1997 is the mother of the unidentified toddler who's remains were found in 2011. The torso found in 1997 was estimated to be about three days deceased. If we assume that mother and child were killed at the same time, then the child was also murdered around June of 1997. Which would make that child's birth year sometime between 1993 and 1996 correct? So, we assume 2 things here that either this child was born after peaches went missing, and therefore no living relatives were aware of the child, therefore no report, or there is a report somewhere out there for a mother and daughter missing in that timeframe and no dots have been connected. Can birth records be searched by state and year? I also wonder if databases, like criminal databases have been searched for familial dna matches to the woman or the child. If this woman was an escort or prostitute it is possible that she may have a relative in the system?

The birth record would not be old enough to be searched in any data base by us, maybe law enforcement has access to that. I imagine a DNA search is always done in CODIS when DNA is recovered from an unidentified person. CODIS would be in the hands of the FBI, who were not called in at the time, but are involved now. Peaches also had an abdominal scar consistent with a Cesarean.

I think the hand towel and pillow sham were probably used to transfer the torso, like oven mitts. Seems like the killer wanted distance (emotional/physical?) from his work. The longer the time between death and dismemberment, the less of a bloody mess it would be. This could explain the lack of blood on the evidence, though they could also be positioned in the photo to conceal it. If we follow police time line, she might have died on day 1 but then was dismembered and found very close together on day 3.If she was discovered Saturday the 28th, then she was killed approximately Tuesday the 24th or Wednesday the 25th. A lot of guys stay at home to work while their wives and kids are at the beach during the week in the summer months and then they join them on the weekend.

I find a missing persons case involving equilla hodrick interesting. She was age 8 when she went missing in 1985. She is fair skinned like peaches, and she would have been about 20 years old in 1997. A lot of girls are trafficked into the sex trade. God only knows if equilla hodrick has any dna on file anywhere.

I submitted Sharaun Cole as a possible match for Peaches to the Doe Network. She would be the right age. She went missing 25 miles from where the torso was found 14 years later. All in the New York Area. Black/light skinned.

If LISK has a wife or girlfriend the girlfriend curiously asks what happened to the pillow sham? The same if he lived with his mother.

But what if the sham is from Peaches' house? Or, what if Peaches is the girlfriend?

Don't forget a red or maroon towel was also found with the toddler. The killer is obviously not worried about things going missing because no one is going to be looking for the items.
I can only draw on personal experience, if the set came with both a pillow case and a sham, then its not beyond the realms that the significant other wasn't partial to shams. I know mine doesn't like them, and tends to avoid sets with them.

But rather than throw them out, he stores them. If the significant other ever did ask, he'd just say he threw it away.

However it is curious why it's only one sham in the tub.

Obviously you can go the polar opposite and theorise its from her bed, which would make sense from the perspective that her child is dead. While there is no evidence she was a sex worker, its also unusual (although not unheard of) for a sex worker to take her child along to a trick, especially if she was comfortable with the john.

One question which also needs to be ruled out needs to come from the manufacturer too. "Did they supply that particular set en masse to any hotel chains in the 1990s" we are assuming they didn't as its found in shops, however often companies will do discount deals for high volume orders, especially if this was a mid sized company.

So many scenarios could be played out still.

yeah, absolutely. I was thinking that the thoughts on letters were that they were inked in later as some message, who knows, but certainly the tattoo artist would have known if he inked an abbreviation in there.

Just to clarify my comment on the Eat a Peach tattoo, I said I would think it was a sexual reference especially concerning the trade she appeared to be in based on comments here, but I see that was an assumption and I will amend my comment.

Irregardless of whether she was a sex worker or not, I would think a tattoo that essentially says Eat a Peach is the known sexual reference. An aggressive sexual reference imo not that there's anything wrong with that.
I saw it as like a strong sexual innuendo tattoo that girls would whisper and say bad things about the owner of. Not cause anything is wrong with her but because back then especially it would be too sexual. Now I only see peach tattoos where it means a booty like people use the emoji but there's also the peaches and cream song. Not sure what year that came out but I wonder if it was the same one. But if those are letters or numbers I think they were done after.

Of course, then again with Suffolk County LE being involved in getting it tested for DNA it is probably lost somewhere and missing from the evidence box.

I don't even trust anyone there to not mess with the results. For all we know it's some medical examiner and not a cop or whatever else we've thought about. It would explain why some of the stuff that should happen hasn't and never did.

The green container is a rubber maid, it's not a matter of where was it bought but "where aren't they sold" unfortunately every store sells rubbermaid.
Maybe it's only Oregon but we sell these blue kinds and I never saw a green one until this case. Also I think this would be a person who wasn't reported missing until a good amount of time passed cause I almost think he picked them based on how long it would take to be reported. One idea is they were all his regulars but they knew he often saw some of or all of the GB4 so they became collateral damage and he changed how he did it in hopes to throw us all off so we wouldn't suspect anytbkng and would assume different killer. Or well I forget what bodies were killed first but that can be reversed to the gb4 knew this did dude had set regulars or might have mentioned him so he killed them in hopes they wouldn't report the others missing or in case they were found because maybe he uses a spot near there or sex. Which brings me to wonder what areas outside of a home would be a good spot to take a girl for sex? I wonder what the closest spot would be to both of them. CAuse like mentioned going so over the top to not be able to be ID'd makes me think he knew them in a way that could get him busted and once he killed the others maybe he got lazy knowing he killed off the connections to him.

A possibility also. The shams, pillow cases etc were discarded by the significant other due to spring cleaning and time to buy new linens. She tosses the old ones out into the rag bin or bags them up and leaves them in the garage. I do this.

What if these girls all have the same PO or some police officer is picking them up for whatever then when asked if he found them and arrested them he shrugs and says he couldn't find them and that they must have ran off. With the legal knowledge when I read this post my mind went to that. Plus he'd want to kill anyone who knows he's connected to the others potentially. Ones who would actually report her missing since somehow sex workers for all we know are better at reporting each other missing. We need someone to go ask girls in the area who would have veen working back then if anyone sticks out

.
Not sure, but the jewelry looks similar.

Asking jewelry stores around there would be a good idea maybe they'd recognize it or know where it's sold. Maybe I should ask my friend in Oregon his take on them since he owns a jewelry store

Wow!!! I spent hours looking. Excellent find!!! I am so glad to see this!

From someone's home, someone's mother, or maybe from a B&B... run by the family.
Or stolen by an employee who happens to be the perp or maybe the girl herself but it's hard to say but if mot that I say bed and breakfast or someone's home also
Or perhaps the owners of the company?

Thanks everyone!

I've got to agree that the Wamsutta Valencia pillow sham came from someone's home. Wouldn't be far fetched to think it was bought at a Macy's on LI in the early 90s.

Also, I think a pillow sham would be less likely to be noticed missing than a pillow case.
To not have an yo DNA or hairs on it I don't know. Thinking now as my heads on a pillow I think DNA would be on it less it was never used and he only touched it with gel gloves

Ok so what if this dude owns a beach house or vacation house or hasn't rentals that when he's on the east coast working he uses beford heading home to his family? He'd have time to replace any shams then but I don't believe these ever got used but maybe he bought them and the stuff at a second hand store or a ross type place just to dump the body? One idea is he just tossed in thins she had contact with but if he bought a full set maybe he left the parts we haven't found in them? No wife or gf is going to not notice the missing sham in the bed unless they have many sets and then eventually she asks and he shrugs and say he doesn't know

I used to work the jewelry counter at K Mart some years ago, and the jewelry looks like something we may have sold. Cheap, no obvious manufacturer trademarks. I think if Peaches bought this set for her and her daughter, she probably purchased it from a place like K Mart, and it would have been inexpensive, which likely points to Peaches being a low income worker.

Question about DNA. If Peaches is in fact a sex worker, most likely involved in drugs and potentially alcohol addiction, could the DNA for the toddler show FAS or other drugs in its system? I don't know that much about DNA. I'm not a medical person, so it might be an obvious answer.

TIA

It may be hard to track that kind of abuse unless they can trace it in bones. Since the toddler was completely decomposed when recovered, the only way to trace it would be in the marrow. I am not sure if this could be done .
