1 man dead, 4 others hurt after high levels of carbon monoxide found in Bridle Path home - CityNews Toronto
''A man is dead and four others were taken to the hospital after high levels of carbon monoxide (CO) were found in a home in The Bridle Path and Lawrence Avenue East area.

Police said they were called to the scene on Suncrest Drive for reports of a medical emergency at around 8:51 p.m. Monday.

Toronto Paramedic Services said they transported a 39-year-old man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died of injuries, police said.

An 69-year-old woman and a 12-year-old child were also taken to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said two officers who had helped rescue the people from the home were also taken to the hospital but released a short time later.

There has been no word on what caused the high levels of carbon monoxide.''

''The investigation is ongoing, but the heater of the home’s indoor pool is being examined as a possible source of the carbon monoxide. It was not clear in the residence had detectors.''
