Here's the things tickling my crazy bone prior to trial:
Going with the lack of evidence, Sleuthy.
1) They did a rape kit, but didn't release full results of it. They just said no evidence of assault. However, the autopsy report says the body was in poor shape. Maybe there was more "attempt evidence" (bruising, etc.) Maybe there wasn't.
2) They dug out under the fingernails. Then they did a DNA swab on Brad. This is in the various warrants. We don't know the results yet, but I am betting this will be the tell-all for both sides. If they match, he did it. If they don't, he didn't.
3) The whole "why-didn't-he-report-her-missing-thing" is dumb. He didn't report her missing because she had plans and a friend beat him to the punch. At what...2 in the afternoon. I don't think a disgruntled spouse reporting someone missing is a key piece of any kind of evidence in a six to eight hour period. But, maybe I am missing something.
4) Where were the shoes? Are they the shoes they found in the house? This is a big one.
5) The spoof/re-identifying the phones thing is interesting, but it's really on the far end of it all. Why take so long to return the warrant on that? Because it was in storage? I am interested to see how that piece shakes out.
6) All of the VD/Affair stuff is telling in itself. The phone records from that can indicate a motive or possibly reveal a second person who might have a motive.
7) How about her having caffeine in the system? To me, that indicates having gotten up and started Saturday. Morning coffee, energy drink, etc. She had been visible the night before to others at a BBQ, right? So, I am wondering if that could mean anything or not. Her stomach contents
8) I don't think they are planning a trash the victim event. In fact, I think they are going hardcore after reasonable doubt or SODDI defense.
9) Why did the friend call 911 at 2:15? There has to be more to what Mrs./Ms. Adams knows in that mix.
10) I know it was July, but doesn't 48 hours seem like an awful quick time for the level of decomp the ME describes? So she had to have been out in the open pretty much the whole time.
11) I have to go back to work from lunch now and this case is probably going to ruin work for the next 4-8 weeks.
Just opinions and questions, folks!
