IIRC, ALV was part of the hearing to argue about the pedo letters being allowed in and the same or another hearing about whether or not she could talk about Travis being an abuser. Although the DT lost and she can't directly talk about him being an abuser, it seems clear that she was prepared to do so then and will therefore, imo, not be flipping for the state when Juan is up. I hear her hitting the DT talking points. And someone mentioned (WS?TH? HLN?) that she has butted heads with Juan in the past over this case. my 2 cents

I agree,

ALV is not stoopid, nor will she be off the stand any time soon. She dates way back to 1985 dealing with courts, she might do a double whammy and flip this whole thing, that is what she is being paid for, I will wait til Thursday or next Tuesday before I decide her testimony
I think Juan may get cross by Tuesday and I imagine she will change things up quite a bit in that time.

Can not remember the ladies name but ALV was said to work with her, She did like 26 years in prison for DV and was released and became a victims advocate while in prison and today.....however I am not familiar with her or how ALV was involved.

I didn't know that, I just had two small grandchildren diagnosed with epilepsy. And just got a call from my daughter! My granddaughter is on life support. The dr's are giving her 20% survival.

Reading here to keep my mind busy.

It looks purple to me too. And if you look closely, over the kleenex box, it appears JA's mom is wearing the same ribbon. I do think its a ribbon for DV considering the testimony today. though not sure what they think they'll accomplish? Influencing the jury? I doubt the jury likes those two very much.

She really thinks she's winning points here and she's the victim.

Its never worked for anyone that I know. Usually by the time the threats to kill themselves happen, the other is already gone mentally and physically.

I'd have to disagree for at least me personally. I stayed after probably a dozen or more threats and one legitimate attempt. My ex had climbed the Hoan Bridge in Milwaukee, and was kindly escorted by law enforcement to the local mental health facility for a mandatory 72 hour hold, 3 years before I left for good.

Him threatening suicide preyed upon my compassion - which in turn kept me in the relationship which was its true intent.

Looks purple to me. I can't believe she would wear a ribbon for Domestic Violence Abuse. Even if the Aunt was a survivor, it's asinine for her to be wearing it today.

These types of antics from JA's family, makes me feel no pity for them whatsoever.

Notice the box of tissues.... They are probably going to turn on the waterworks later and start the dramatic faking crying :boohoo::boohoo: since all they have been doing is giggling and snickering. They need to make it look good for the last expert!

Yes, but in all of that time, IIRC - She has only testified 15 times. That is not very much. I tend to think she prefers public speaking. :twocents:

I see the ribbon as purple. Maybe she IS wearing it in support of domestic violence victims. That doesn't necessarily mean she's wearing it to support JA. Perhaps the aunt has a friend or she herself has been a victim. We'll never really know.
