OP didn't help himself then by explaining how he 'didn't know much about that particular Glock'.

O, again: My finger was not on the trigger.

Oscar is something else, he really is. Unbelievable.

Nel reminding OP of Mangena's testimony regarding the safety feature on the gun without the safety being released and without the trigger being purposely pulled.

Mangena testified that it's impossible for that gun to be fired without someone's finger pulling the trigger.

Makes me glad me and my husband never text. Would hate to see how some of our statements when we are having disagreements might appear to others.

Was just thinking this! Us too! And we've been together for 8 years. But between all the fights and disagreements there's a lot of love and otherwise mutual respect that balances things out nicely.

Daresay a normal relationship?

He uses completely different confident tone and timing when he is talking about ammunition, which he does in a long run.

He also has just been found out as "not remembering" where a cartridge was form the restaurant shooting. The a minute later, challenged by Nel that he DOES know Pistorius took it, than Pistorius changes his story.

He says the cartridge was on the chair, but he didn't not know where it went. A second later he says he does know where it went, it went he thinks to Fresco (? or someone else, of course)

Nel says what most are thinking: Mr Pistorius you're blaming everyone. Who pulled the trigger?

OP: I don't know....I'm not sure. I didnt have my finger on the trigger."
Nel carries on trying to get him to take the blame but it's like pulling teeeth, Pistorius will not take responsibility for obviously pulling the trigger: "This is amazing"

But, I mean, whose relationship is? We fight, we get the things that bother us out in the open, we make up.
My husband and I have never had a single argument so I really can't comment - we're too much alike to argue, we always just agree with one another which drives our kids crazy. ;)

I think we can agree though that many people who argue don't lose their significant others in an 'accidental' shooting, misrepresent the tone of their relationship into a seeming fairytale, and face trial for their partner's murder.

N: It's always been your version your finger was not on the trigger?

Nel then goes on to try and get OP to blame Roux again, for not crossing Cpt M, but O refuses to take the bait today, unlike yesterday. Maybe they had words?

N: Now you blame counsel..

O: I didn't blame Mr Roux...

Wonder how Roux feels about all the blame OP is dumping on him.

I really think OP does himself no favours not owning up here it just re-enforces his refusal to accept the consequences of his own actions.

O: If Mr R didn't put that question to cpt M, he must have had a good reason.

N: That gun cannot fire without pulling the trigger

right.. Nel.. mungeena said it was impossible to fire this gun without the safety being unlocked. the gun cannot discharge without that lock being off. impossible to discharge it..

Oscar.. I ddint have my finger on the trigger.. .

Nel. the gun is impossible to fire without pulling the trigger.. why didn't your counsel object to Mungeenas evidence..

Oscar. I don't know what he wanted to ask mr mungeena. they doont read their questions out to me. I m not sure.

Nel. if mr roux put to Mungeena that that gun couldn't be fired without your finger on the trigger.

Oscar.. I don't know.......... I don't know.

Nel. now you blame mr Roux. I know mr roux. he doesn't make these mistakes.. you have a whole team in court.. everyone made the same mistake??

Oscar.. I don't know. if mr roux didn't ask that question..

Nel. it wasn't your version was it. you never had that in your version. that gun cannot fire without pulling the trigger..... lets goi thru it. you had the gun in your hand. no one else had it. only you had it. who pulled the trigger??

Oscar.. I cant say.. I didn't have my finger on the trigger..

Nel could it have been the person sitting next to you??

Oscar. well. no. I don't think that is possible.

I shudder, Cher. Me and my husband handle so many of our fights over messages, fb, Couples app, texts. If either of us ended up on trial and the attorneys brought out our fights in a vacuum and picked them apart, it would look just as bad. And we have a great relationship.

.. but the point is, neither of you are up on a murder trial .. and if you were, then it would be expected that those messages would be gone through to establish the state of the relationship in order to see whether DV was a factor. Which is exactly what is happening here, in this case with OP. There is no point in using a hypothetical situation involving your own situation .. it isn't relevant because it hasn't resulted in the same thing that Reeva and OP's relationship did, i.e. her death during the relationship (for whatever reason, yet to be officially determined).

The issue really is that Oscar has maintained they were much in love and overwhelmingly happy - the State contends there was an argument that culminated in her murder. All this, boring as it may seem to some - goes to contradict Oscar's assertion that their relationship was idyllic.

MOO

I agree this is the tact Nel is using. Also that maybe even Reeva was getting to a point where she realised she was in a bad relationship and maybe wanted out. That could have set him off in a rage ending in her fleeing to the toilet with her phone and locking herself in. Maybe she intended to use it to call for help but didn't get the opportunity. Nel will likely put this scenario to him at some point.

O: I"m not sure (to who pulled the trigger). I just know I did not pull the trigger....I don't know how that firearm works...

What the?

RT @barrybateman: #OscarTrial Pistorius: insists he did not pull the trigger. Nel: who pulled the trigger? BB

O: I cannot say my finger was on the trigger when it wasn't on the trigger.

N: No, it cannot be that easy...
