CPS....worthless! And nobody will be held accountable for dropping the ball. They will all keep their jobs and Colton will still be dead. :banghead:

Sadly, I agree with you.....on ALL of it!

I would imagine (hope) that the motel would have surveillance footage because it is in an extremely seedy part of Austin. I'm pretty sure it's the same hotel that missing girl, Roxanne Paltauf, was last seen at.

It is the same hotel. Good observation.

The reviews say it all.

If they have cameras? I got my money on they don't work.

Interesting that one of the reviews mentions sleeping in car... there is a growing sector of Millennials who live in their cars in Austin. It's a function of several factors: being a student, trying to survive on minimum wage in Austin (pricey) and the bohemian counterculture lifestyle (think pedi-cabbers). Its not just local culture either. Living in your car doesn't necessarily imply that you beat your children and/or do drugs. Not that its makes one bit of difference for poor baby Colton. Just sayin.

IF those cameras don't work after that young lady went missing from there....well IMO that hotel really needs to get it's **** together and get the security up and running. I would think the manager of that hotel would of demanded those cameras, IF there are any, be up and functional. It's a safety issue IMO.

Still wondering why that spot to bury Colton. That Budget Inn is off Rundberg and I35, isn't it? So far away still from SE Austin.

I am also wondering where MT was working.

MT is now in Travis County.

Opposite corner of Austin. Probably 30 miles from Cedar Park and about 15 from Rundberg. I don't know the exact area he was buried in but, that area of Burleson has a lot of open area. Her being 4 months pregnant is sad.

On a side note... I found out the Travis County jail gets a 3 out of 5 stars rating: there are actual Google user reviews such as... "Fast courteous service, and great room with a stunning view of downtown. This place is always busy, and is always over booked."

Travis County is too good for them. Too bad they aren't jailed in Williamson County. Yet.

Agreed. Maybe a relative will get to take care of this baby.

Has the hotel Meagan was staying at been identified?

Good question. I think the Budget Inn was mentioned in an affidavit or warrant as the place she claimed to be staying at when her son was "kidnapped" from her truck.

Not sure if it's the same establishment as the Budget Lodge the city tried to shut down about five years ago (high crime).

Yes, it was mentioned in the search warrant for the Facebook account.

TY. I was looking in all the wrong places. I see it is named as part of her parking lot kidnapping fairy tale, so it is probably where they were staying. That might be the only part of that version that is factual.

More on Meagan's parents and childhood.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas -- We're learning more about Colton Turner's mother, Meagan Work.
A 17-page report details an investigation into her parents back in 2007, leading up to when the state put her and her siblings in foster care

Boy, the apple doesn't fall far from the dysfunctional tree, does it? I will admit that it sure sounds like Meagan had a less than ideal childhood but that just is NO excuse for what she has done. I guess that cruelty to animals really strikes me though. All 3 of them and MT are all just real pieces of work. All I can do is shake my head. I have no doubt an attorney will bring up MW's childhood and try to gain sympathy from a jury. Yep, it sure does suck that she grew up in those conditions and circumstances. It doesn't mean that she wasn't capable of getting help and breaking the cycle. I just don't want to see her childhood/parents get her a lighter sentence or anything of the kind. What a travesty that would be....poor Colton. I am really just left scratching my head and shrugging my shoulders. I can't understand why this happened. No child should EVER feel unloved or unsafe. It disgusts me. All JMO

Child abuse experts hope Colton's case serves as a reminder to the community about the importance of reporting suspected child abuse or neglect.

Detectives are trying to determine who knew what and when regarding Colton Turner's alleged abuse which Child Protective Services says stretches back to when the child was only six months.

Maybe this little angels voice will make a change. Coltons law. CPs should be required to report to LE anytime they cannot locate a child that has been reported for possible abuse. LE should be required to show valiant effort in locating the child. And issue an alert if they can't within a short time frame.
