Deputy Renard Spivey, of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, called the cops around 3 a.m. Sunday to report what he called an accidental shooting. The situation involved a domestic disturbance.

Spivey’s wife, Patricia Spivey, was pronounced dead on the scene, while he sustained a leg wound.

The deputy was arrested and charged with murder.

His IMDb profile says he was featured as a bailiff on the TV show “Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez” from 2012 to 2016.

The sheriff’s office told the outlet it has no record of any domestic violence issues involving Spivey, who remained hospitalized Tuesday.

Court documents obtained by the outlet indicate that Spivey may have a mental illness or intellectual disability — and he will undergo a mental health assessment.

Renard Spivey reportedly told officers that they’d been arguing all day and he accidentally shot his wife, who also unintentionally wounded him, as they struggled over the gun. However, prosecutors revealed that three bullet casings recovered from the closet and evidence from the scene contradicted his claims.

A medical examiner determined that Patricia Spivey was shot twice. A bullet which hit her right arm rendered it immobile. The second bullet entered through her chest and struck her heart, killing her. KHOU reported that the examiner also wrote that she had bruising around her wrists.

Harris County deputy charged with wife's murder can't attend her funeral, judge orders (with clip)
The judge said Spivey can’t have any direct or indirect contact with Patricia’s family.

August 2, 2019

"HOUSTON — A former television show bailiff and Harris County Deputy charged with his wife’s murder made his first court appearance on Friday morning.

Renard Spivey limped into the courtroom to learn about the conditions of his bond....

Inside the courtroom, 185th District Criminal Court Judge James Luong set several conditions for Spivey’s bond.

The conditions include wearing a GPS monitor and turning over his passport within the next seven days.

Spivey also has a curfew from 3 p.m. to 9 a.m.

He has to stay away from alcohol and drugs and can’t possess weapons.

Judge Luong said Spivey can’t have any direct or indirect contact with Patricia’s family, which means Spivey can’t attend Patricia’s funeral.

“The funeral is a private event. You can go to court and have litigation over this but what’s necessary and you can have your own private wake for your wife with your own family,” Degeurin said. “Of course he wanted to participate in the funeral but he’s going to follow the judge’s order and not do so.”

Degeurin said Spivey and Patricia were married just over four years.

Spivey’s next court hearing is set for Sept. 19."

*Accidentally* shot his wife twice. Maybe she ran too quickly towards him like that poor homeless woman Margarita's dog. No sudden moves. He's under threat of death all day long.
