"FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has exhumed the remains of a man in a 1964 cold case in hopes new technological advancement will provide fresh leads and bring closure.

The remains were exhumed on July 10. The man, described as a dark-haired white male, approximately 6 feet tall, around 50 years of age, and weighing between 180-185 pounds, was found decapitated, with his hands and legs amputated off FM 359 near the Jones Creek bridge on June 11, 1964.''

''Detectives said the 6-foot, 180-to-185-pound man had a broken rib but no identifying marks, proving difficult for investigators to identify the victim or detain those responsible.
The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office held the remains for 20 years before burial in 1984.

"With the significant advancements in forensic biology and DNA analysis, we hope to uncover new information that was previously unattainable," Sheriff Eric Fagan said. "Our goal is to bring justice to the victim and provide answers to any surviving family members."

He is listed on NamUs as UP4535.

From Doe Network:

Distinguishing Marks/Features: Light olive complexion. Possibly type O blood. Suffered from pleurisy, in which he would have had chest pain and a cough.
