The man's body was found Dec. 29 in the 9800 block of Lawndale Street in Sims Bayou. The man is described as being 6-foot-3, between 50 and 70 years of age and is believed to be black. The man had "Jesus Christ" tattooed in cursive on the right side of his neck and "God" on the right side of his forehead. He had crosses tattooed on both cheeks, and one on the left side of his neck. He also had unknown words in cursive on the back of the right hand, according to the news release.

When found, the man's body was wearing red and dark-colored, possibly blue, plaid boxer shorts and gray and black socks, according to the press release.

NAMUS: https://identifyus.org/en/cases/17512

From the NamUs website
Multiple facial tattoos, crosses on left and right cheeks, cross and "Jesus Christ" in cursive on right neck, "God" on right forehead, Cross on left neck, unknown words in cursive on back of right hand.

This makes me think someone who has done time. It may not have been recent, but at some point in his life, he did time. It's not common to see anyone with facial tattoos who has not done time. He may have lost contact with family while inside.

with no one ID him im wondering if he was down a long time and just got out and had lost touch? but then his prints would be on file. were they able to get any? I guess I should check namus and answer my own questions.

Found more recent article and interestingly his approximate age is different as well as location of his tattoos. Photos of tattoos are shown in colour (in the link).

The victim is described only as possibly being a black male possibly in his mid 30s, weighing about 190 pounds and about 6 feet tall. He was found wearing only dark plaid shorts and a pair of socks. His cause of death remains undetermined.

Photos of two distinctive tattoos are attached to this news release. The first, containing a cross and the words – Jesus Christ – is located on the front right side of his neck. The cross appears under his right ear, with “Jesus Christ” in front of the cross. The second tattoo, featuring the words – Kyala H – is located on the back of the man’s right hand.

This guy has very similar cross tattoos on his cheeks. I tried to hide his identity because he was on up on murder charges in 2012 in the area of Palm Beach County FL.

Wow, I think those tattoos are identical. You should send that guy's name in, coffeeanacig!

Oh sorry, this guy is still incarcerated. I just think there might be a gang affiliation going on here, and maybe this UID is out of south Florida. Since they're so strikingly similar it wouldn't be a stretch to think same tattoo artist.

Oh, Oops. I was sure you found him. Yes, I agree with possible gang affiliation.
