LIVE: Woman charged with kidnapping Austin mom and baby pretended child was her own

Results from the internet activity search said the account associated with the email used Google to search the phrase “reasons for Amber Alert,” at 10:31 p.m., Dec. 12. It also searched “Amber alert issued Austin,” at 10:42 p.m., the affidavit says. An official Amber Alert wasn’t sent out by law enforcement prior to those terms being searched, the affidavit says.

More search results by authorities said the account searched “bodies found in Austin Texas,” on Dec. 14. A search of Facebook or Instagram accounts showed an account with the vanity name MAYGEN.HUMPHREY as a Facebook profile. The search showed the page was deleted Dec. 17, the affidavit said.

Broussard’s body was found in a duffel bag in the trunk of the car, which was registered to Fieramusca. Margot Carey was found safe inside

Surely if MF told Heidi (and Heidi told Shane?) she'd given birth on the 8th/9th she must have been wondering what the heck MF was doing driving to see her on the morning of the 12th.

And this story says they issued an Amber Alert, which they did not, (now clear why) and that was addressed in the PC from APD initially.

"For a week, police searched for Broussard and her baby, including sending an Amber Alert. On Dec. 20, Texas State Troopers and Texas Rangers approached a home on Bo Jack Drive in Houston where Fieramusca lived. Broussard’s body was found in a duffel bag in the trunk of the car, which was registered to Fieramusca. Margot Carey was found safe inside."

I wonder if she searched that because she was worried they knew HB had left willingly with her.

Surveillance cameras installed by another resident of the apartment complex showed a car resembling Fieramusca’s drive toward the rear of the complex, where Carey and Broussard’s apartment was, at 9:05 a.m. on Dec. 12, the same day the two disappeared. Records from Fieramusca’s cell phone also pinpoint her in the area.

A witness said she saw a woman carrying an infant with a knit cap get into the car, according to the affidavit. The witness said there wasn’t enough time for the woman carrying the baby to properly restrain her in the car before it left the parking lot, the affidavit said.

Carey said he returned home at 2:50 p.m. to find Broussard’s car was still in the parking lot and the front door was unlocked, which he said wasn’t unusual. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, he told police. Later, when he picked up his son from after school activities around 5:50 p.m., he said he expected to see Broussard but did not.

Carey realized Broussard’s purse was in her unlocked car back at the apartment and noticed she hadn’t taken anything to care for their newborn, the affidavit said. He called friends and family to try to find her and finally called police around 7:31 p.m.

Her googling that night about an Amber Alert could be explained away IF she had talked to Shane (remember Shane said he called her friends, was she one of them?) But if they had established that he had not called her and she shouldn't have been aware that Heidi was missing at that time, there would be no reason for her to be googling it.

Woman charged with kidnapping Austin mom and baby pretended child was her own

"Fieramusca stayed at Carey and Broussard’s apartment on the 700 block of W. William Cannon Drive that night, the affidavit says. Carey gave Fieramusca a key, and Carey said afterward he never found the key he let Fieramusca borrow, the affidavit said."

Perhaps there were multiple plans, and this one with HB getting into her car went more smoothly than she expected.

Try this one. It's just before the photo of the Nissan in the back yard. MOO

Yep, I can see that quote, but I was looking for the specific quote that @violet101 posted.

"Magen Fieramusca abducted Heidi Broussard by restraining her and preventing her liberation by holding her in a place where she was not likely to be found; specifically inside a black duffel bag in the trunk of a parked vehicle," police said in the affidavit.

What does this mean? Was she placed in duffel bag alive or am I overthinking it?

"Broussard’s body was found in a duffel bag in the trunk of a car in the Northwest Houston area last month, outside a home where Fieramusca was living. No one has been charged with her strangulation, but police say they are investigating."

"Authorities also interviewed the man who owned the home where Fieramusca was living, and he told them the two had broken up in March but still lived in the home together.

He told police that he had never seen Fieramusca’s bare stomach during her pregnancy but that he believed she had gotten pregnant around the time they had broken up.

He told investigators that Fieramusca had given birth to a baby girl while she was out of town at the beach and that she told him, “Don’t be mad” when she returned home with a baby."

"With Fieramusca behind bars, authorities are trying to determine where Broussard was killed and who killed her. The neighbor who saw the women together near Broussard’s apartment raised suspicion that a second person could have been involved, noting in her interview with police that Fieramusca was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle that Broussard and Margot entered from the back. The affidavit did not mention who was driving."

Interesting.

Just catching up. So I'm still a bit confused what led LE to MF? It sounds like MF's car "matched" the one the neighbor saw, but were there enough to details to actually pinpoint the car to lead them to MF? (Or did her car just match the neighbor's observation once they knew to look at MF?)

It sounds like LE was already observing/had CG under surveillance when he told them, "That's the baby at my house" when LE showed him the flyer. But not that he had contacted them first.

Was it MF's odd behavior at Margo's birth observed by SC and his father that made LE take a closer look at MF? What prompted them to start watching her, is it clear?

ETA: It sounds like SC may have pointed them in that direction, just from MF living with Heidi up until the end of November, having a key to the apartment they never got back, and being present and acting weird at the birth? And Heidi telling him MF had just had a baby whose photos he had never seen....

RSBM

I thought something was odd in the wording from another article, the witness doesn't say she was in the driver seat or driving.

Have we seen in mainstream media anything about a cousin of hers being her alibi? She sat there and told them she went with a cousin to the beach. That's ticking my memory about a cousin speaking to something during this case but I can't recall.

If not in mainstream, please disregard as I do not want to sleuth or cause harm to a cousin of hers.
She mentioned the cousin in #51 of what PommyMommy posted
