Houston parents Jason Paul Robin, 24, and 21-year-old Katharine Wyndham White were charged in the death of Jazmine Robin after an autopsy found the child suffered 96 total fractures, including a skull fracture, 71 rib fractures, and 23 long bone fractures.

It is believed Jazmine, who was born premature at 29 weeks, suffered the injuries just days after being brought home from the hospital.

Almost a year after the death of the baby, Jason Robin is charged with murder and Katharine White faces a count of injury to a child by omission.

Why oh why do these @ssholes not just admit they cannot look after a baby and give them to someone who can. How anyone can hurt something so helpless is beyond evil. Just seems to be getting worse as well

Robin was initially charged with murder, but now faces a capital murder charge. White is charged with felony murder, upgraded from an injury to a child by omission charge.

White and Robin were once engaged to each other.

Investigators who spoke to Robin and White at the hospital wrote in court documents that the parents described various situations where the baby wouldn't take a bottle or acted weird.

About a week before her death, the parents said they had to give the baby CPR because she stopped breathing.

Court documents show once the baby regained consciousness, the parents did not take the baby to the hospital.

A man who lived in the same house as the parents told investigators that he told Robin, the dad, he needed to take the baby to the hospital but that he had refused.

Well, ya know, little baby Jazmine was probably crying too much and they just had had too much of that noise... What else could they do??? Why won't she shut up???

A little tiny baby girl... She was prolly hungry -- since she was born early, maybe they didn't have any formula in the house. Or maybe the baby didn't catch onto the the bottle right away. Maybe mom tried nursing the baby with no or little success. Learning to nurse, as many of us know, is a job for mom and baby. Period. And a preemie's suckling muscles and inborn urge to nurse are usually not as strong as a full-term baby's. Itty-bitties also need to be swaddled -- did they do that? Another reason for baby to cry -- a feeling of un-ease for baby.
It's not easy being 1st-time parents or being a premature newborn. Exasperation and frustration, at the very least, factored into this murder. There could have also been other things going on in that house as well. So they simply got rid of the problem...

Hoping for the maximum sentences for both of them.

Fly high, teeny Jazmine. You are free and perfect now.

I feel for the nursing staff that took care of Jazmine - born that early she would have gotten so much round the clock care in the NICU and whatnot. Nurses who probably watched her like a hawk to make sure she was growing and thriving. Only to be sent home with those monsters.

Why did they even take her home? Why? I assume Jazmine stayed in neonatal preemie care as a little patient until she weighed enuff and was otherwise okay to be sent home. She was probably still a little thing with a little stomach. The parents whom I know who had preemies still had to give them special care beyond the things done by a 6+ pounder who was full term. But I don't think it would have made a speck of difference with these two "parents."
Hell is not hot enuff.
